I am kind of scared of them. First they are big than I am (I am 110lbs) and second, after some of the things I hear on the news about them...with kids and all. For any of you who have Rotties or experience with them, positive or negative..please share..especially your advice/experience with rotties and kids.

i have been breeding cockatiels since i was a child and always has successful clutches. however i got a new hen and she has had 2 clutches that have died ,the first at 2 weeks after hatching and the second died 4-5 wks after hatching. ther are always unhatched eggs also,this time 4 didnt hatch and one did and died this morning. what could be going wrong?

I live on the 1st floor of a flat and emptying and refilling the litter box for my cat is alot of unnecessary work. And what irritates me is that my small apartment reeks of cat wee!! I need to get rid of this embarassment. How do i get my cat to quit using the litter box asap???

Both Dogs are my babies but I have to keep them seperate from each other. They were fine when they were younger but now they both want to kill each other. Both have seen a vet several time for stitches and tubes put in to let the puss Drain out. What can I do? I tried also the sociallizing. I also adopted out my female english bulldog because I thought they were the root of the fighting but she would fight with everyone two. my dogs are driving me crazy!!!!! Help.

own a 4 month old dobe (female), i am crazy about this breed but this is my first time,

i bought this from the breeder when it was a month old, we gave it proper feeding, all those necessary injectios etc..., its 4 months old now, now we have a problem though its very very active it has got ticks on its body,

we bathe it once a week and we even bathed it twice with butox, still there are ticks (which when killed has lot of blood) our kennel it outside our home, (inside the compound), also it has got some small small pustles on its belly, we have placed bed for it to rest down,

it has also got discharge from eyes( normal morning discharge)

please let me know what i should do, i consulted all the vets, we de worm once a month,

Please suggest a good vet in coimbatore, tamilnadu.

please let me know what should be done, hope you will reply me



want to know if i can use the KILTIX COLLAR,

can i use FRONTLINE PLUS OR K9

The Female Fighting Fish i bought recently had a dull body color, short fins and several streak of red lines at her tail. 2 days later, the fish body turn dark blue. Its even make a bubble nest.

Can the female betta make bubble nest?
Or will they change their sex like some frog and fish do?

I got an Eheim Liberty 150 hang-on filter about 6 weeks ago at Petsmart. Its about time to replace my 3rd insert - the filter foam insert (if you have one, it's the big blue one with a coarser texture), but I can't find the inserts anywhere. I found the carbon and biofoam cartridges at Petsmart, but I can't find the other one, not even on the Eheim website. If you know of anywhere that I can get these, please let me know, as I'm getting a little frstrated. I've tried Petsmart.com too.

i found a dog in my backyard. it was so boney its eyes stuck out its sockets..wouldnt come near me until i got some chicken.. then it still took an hour. well i spent hours feeding and watering it, building trust , until it was rolling in the grass and my lap playing with me as if it had always been my dog and hadnt niped at me a few times before. I couldnt believe the change in this dog but i now had to find an owner. I really did think it was someones puppy that had been lost for a few weeks or something. It was a purebred adorable severely starved puppy. it didnt really occur to me that it had a home. well low, and behold, it does! a neighbor not to far away is the owner and came and got the dog from another neighbor that agreed to keep it for the time being until i found a home for it. i didnt believe the bull story of why it was so skinny so i took a walk and from the street can see part of their backyard, and i saw another dog just as starved and no food/water bowls, what now

Why when I am asking a question about buying a pedigree cat am i bombarded with people telling me what a bitch I am for not getting one from the spca. I'm entitled to own whatever kind of cat I wish to own - I hate that I am being made out to be the bad guy because of other peoples cruelty and mistakes. If a dog (puppy, at 4 months) has grown an attachment to an abusive person, but still seems to accept him as if he were treating him well, and this person leaves the home for a certain amount of time, when he comes back will the dog still love him, what is the deal, can you teach a dog to not put trust into bad people??? or if they grew up with this person around, they just simply accept them?!

okay so i'm totally not saying i'm an abuser but recently my dad got SO mad when my 1 year old Dachshund-terrier mix peed on the carpet so he shoved her face into the pee and slapped her head and lost his cool

then like during the few weeks afterwards she started peeing even more than she used to.. is it because he hit her?

I have 2 creatures geat and they are small, whom I call my girls, they are a cat and a dog, Though 4 and 5 now, their food is costing me a mini fortune!
They are so fussy and my Chawowa was given to me at 3- 4 weeks old and I didn't think she was going to live.
She has been fed on cat food all her life and won't eat dog food ever!

Can some one please help me with a - - ? make at home, tasty food different recipes that won't cost a heap please.
Because even the tins of cat food get half wasted.
Someone said leave them long enough and they'll eat it when they're hungry enough, but they won't!!

Everyone keeps saying that it is cruel to get a cat declawed does anyone have any alternatives because i am on my last leg i tried to clip the nails and he just filed and rubbed and scratched till they were back sharp and i also cut too low and they kind of bled so i was just like what should i do i have been told that there is something you can put over the cats nails each one like false nails is that true, also my cat battles during bath time and goes nuts anyone has any creative ideas on how to safely wash him without getting clawed or bit and listening to that awful whail of his like i am killing him , he is six months old will he ever get used to bath time i bath him once a week.

Can you mistake a coyote howl for a distant whistle? I live out in the middle of nowhere....I have never heard a coyote howl, but that is the only logical explination for the whistling sound I heard while taking my dog potty... and he would not be able to protect me...poor guys sooo little! Anywho...someone tell me it wasn't a coyote...I'm just hearing things....right?

I love my pets!! I have 1 pomeranian, Jessie, who's the most adorable! And I have 1 SheepDog mix, Nemo, such a sweetie! And 1 St Bernard w/ Great Dane mix, Dino (aka; Tiny) and he's adorable..& a great "watchdog" (wouldn't hurt a flea - but would sure scare one to death! lol) and I have a little 8-month-old kitten, Storm - who's name is because I adopted her during a big storm, and she was all "scared" and it took lots of prodding to get her out from under the bed. And I have two long-haired ferrets, Cooper and Castle.. The most adorable.
Now that I've told you all about my pets, what about yours? How many do you own? What are their names? God Bless !!

I just adopted a dog yesterday. I let him stay in the house lastnight and today. But before I got here I noticed a flea on his ear and I know there's probably a few more. Sugar is not going to be an inside dog anyway. Im taking her outside tomorrow . But is my house going be infested with fleas now?
