Here's an interesting site that gives you names of animals, mammals and sea creatures as well as some insects at all stages from A-Z. Really interesting.

Young horses are called foals,
the males are colts,
the females are fillys;
young goats are called kids,
the males are billy and the females are nanny.
Sort of makes you wonder about Billy the Kid, the outlaw.
He does sort of look like a goat.

No, actually a female goat is called a Doe, and a male goat is called a Buck..unless it has been castrated, then it is called a Wether. And a baby is called a kid.
I just hate when people use the terms nanny and billy.

With horses it is foal,filly or colt. Baby, girl and boy. With goats it is kid in general. Girls are called doelings, boys are called bucklings and a castrated male is called a wether. NOT NANNIES AND BILLIES!!!

Sorry, you got it confused: Despite common belief, fauns are from celtic mythology and originated as a pagan minor god of the wreath of oak... Satyrs are mythological cretures...and thi is a mythology section, so here's my answer: Satyrs were just one of the creatures among the entourage of the god Dionysos. Goat-legged and horned they are notoriously fond of revelry in every possible form with a special weakness for Nymphs. Silenus, the oldest Satyr, was the instructor of the god Dionysos. Silenus and other satyrs rode donkeys into battle against the Heka Gigantes, the donkeys were terrified when they saw the enemy, braying loudly. The Heka Gigantes in turn were terrified by the braying donkeys and fled the cacophony. In spite of their shocking victory, satyrs never developed a taste for combat, turning back to drunken song and revelry.
