If a dog (puppy, at 4 months) has grown an attachment to an abusive person, but still seems to accept him as if he were treating him well, and this person leaves the home for a certain amount of time, when he comes back will the dog still love him, what is the deal, can you teach a dog to not put trust into bad people??? or if they grew up with this person around, they just simply accept them?!

Well the pup is fed and walked daily, played with and everything..... he's very well loved by the person who stay at home but the abuser comes and go as he likes, says he loves the dog but calls it "tough love" and keeps trying to get me to hurt him too, but I don't, and still, the dog likes this other guy more than the one who actually loves him. What do I do?! Besides keep this guy away, but he's a psycho, and now I don't even trust my dog. Can I train him to NOT trust the a**hole?!!

No, you can not train this dog to not trust this person. What you have to do to be a responsible voice for this puppy is get it out of this situation. A person that is abusing an animal has NO right having one. Since you are witness to this it really is on your shoulders. Get the dog a new home! This dog will continue to "suck up" to the abuser because that is all the dog knows. And just like with children.. negative attention is better than no attention at all!! Please help this dog! Good luck!

If a puppy grows up with an abusive person they will still be attached to that person because their desire to be with some one is so strong. The dog thinks the abuser is at least paying attention to him. My abused dog is still somewhat happy to see the people who I think were the ones who abused him as a puppy. That was two years ago and I can tell he is nervous but still wags his tail to see them. I think if the dog grows up with an abusive person they just learn to accept them but they probably try to hide or pull away depending on the type of abuse. But they likely wouldn't try to bite that person. If an adult dog sees a stranger who is a bad person they seem to know that without being taught.
Hope that answers your questions.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
I have seen dogs do this as well. The dog may feel that this guy is the top dog and he has to try to please him even if the guy is abusing him. Maybe the dog can sense that you are uncomfortable with this guy around and the dog misinterpretates that as you being submissive. So the other guy must be top dog in the dogs eyes.

The dog does not love him more than you. He is trying to be affectionate so he will not abuse him. DO NOT LET HIM ABUSE THAT PUPPY. That is against the law and morally wrong. The dog will love unconditionally even the abuser. That is how they are. Right now he is little and probably scared. Some day he might bite him for that when he gets bigger.

Unfortunatly the poor dog has no one else to rely on for food, roof, water... therefore the dog keep staying with it's owner, fut live in fear, is shy, and is abused all the time. I've always wonder why people have pets just to hurt them??? or not take care of them... very sad...

I dont' know, does it work the same as humans? Dog will cry extra when the person leaves and be discontent when they leave. Then when the person comes back the person will be unsure about whether to be sad or happy.

Is there this sort of component? according to threat extra vendors could have what you call intense canine attachment! Then our shelters does not be crammed with animals whose households disregarded them! i like all of my animals as my little ones (sure I truthfully have human little ones as properly). My canines come to artwork with me 3 days a week. I construct my existence around them, as each puppy proprietor could!

maybe they have some body scent that he is attracted to. Use probably some scent on the dog to make him hate that guy.
