i found a dog in my backyard. it was so boney its eyes stuck out its sockets..wouldnt come near me until i got some chicken.. then it still took an hour. well i spent hours feeding and watering it, building trust , until it was rolling in the grass and my lap playing with me as if it had always been my dog and hadnt niped at me a few times before. I couldnt believe the change in this dog but i now had to find an owner. I really did think it was someones puppy that had been lost for a few weeks or something. It was a purebred adorable severely starved puppy. it didnt really occur to me that it had a home. well low, and behold, it does! a neighbor not to far away is the owner and came and got the dog from another neighbor that agreed to keep it for the time being until i found a home for it. i didnt believe the bull story of why it was so skinny so i took a walk and from the street can see part of their backyard, and i saw another dog just as starved and no food/water bowls, what now

If you have Animal Control or The Humane Society or a local ASPCA in your area, please call them and report this neglect immediately.

I agree with the other poster here that said this was your mission. Do whatever you legally can to help those dogs.

***** Way to go on throwing the food! Can you sneak water to them, too? Please keep us posted! Bless you and those poor creatures.

Call your local Humane Society. If you do not have one, look on the Internet for rescue groups. As a last resort call your local policy(animal cruelty) or Animal Control.

Anything would be better for these poor animals than to die of thirst and hunger.

Bless you for caring and know you are doing the right thing.

Do you have an Animal Control Department for your city or county? They handle cases animal abuse and /or mistreatment. Look them up in your phone book. Generally found in the front under Government: City or County. Call them with the address and report it. Animal abuse is against the law and a crime.

You do not say where you live. If you do not have an ASPCA, dog warden, or an APL call the police. They will know who to contact. Get help for those poor animals now.

Animal abuse is a crime. You can call the local police department or if your city is large enough it might have its own ASPCA. Look at your city's website. It usually is
yourcity.gov or org
