I was given a baby squirrel 2 weeks old...So being an animal lover, hand reared the little thing...It has become this beautiful tame (unfortunately) 8 week old now, and at the end of this month it is going to be rehabilitated to be released into the wild by March next year. The woman who is doing it has a male squirrel waiting for her, so I am very pleased, and don't believe in keeping a wild animal. I have done my bit, but wht is worrying me, is can an animal go wild again, after it has become so tame, and even plays with my chihuahua. I try not to let this happen, but it has, please put my mind at ease.....

Outline in point form of situation.
cat once belonged to another volunteer. this volunteer moved house, leaving cat behind. cat missed volunteer so followed me everywhere. pregnant. i'm not a cat person. other day, cat sneaked in my house and gave birth to 4 kittens. her first litter. (Mother cat approx 10-11 months old) I offer mother cat food and water. How long do I have before the kittens are old enough to get out of my house? Friends who hate cats told me to just chuck them out when the mother is out. I can't do that. Surely the human smell would make the mothjer reject her kittens? Funnily enough, she trusts me enough to leave her kittens alone with me when she goes out to do her business. What about a cat litter box when I go to work? Sand ok?My idea is to just give food and water until they get old enough to get out (How long? 2 weeks?) then gradually withdraw support. I have to be cruel to be kind as I return home in February.
Any other tips and advice would be appreciated.

But now, im reading that its not. I feel like if i get another brand that people say is better, i will hear bad things about that too! I never want my kittys sick, so what can i do about getting a good dry food? Price does not matter. My husband and I will spend whatever to make my 2 little kittys happy & healthy! We wouldnt have gotten cats if we couldnt afford the best for them.

when you removed a tick from you pet - what do you do with it ? My mom uses to simply crush it underfoot. My sister recommends to burn it. What is the best way ?

Are there any household items (fruits, veggies, etc.) that are good for, specifically betta, fish to eat? I also have to albino dwarf frogs that I have pellet food for but they mostly eat the fish flakes. Are there any grocery foods I can chop up and put in the tank for all of them or just the fish?

they always put their cats first...

example: I can't go to the movies cause I need to go home and feed the cat...

what percentage of you cat lovers, (who are most likely single women). would give up your cat inorder to meet a man.

Also, I'm a man and I will never date a crazy cat lady.

Here's a website photo link below of Mutts and Mom's owner. It's against the law to run an adoption of any animal who hasn't first been placed with the ASPCA on hold for 5 days. Bet you didn't know that. I found a dog and had to surrender it to the ASPCA in Pasadena. Mutts and Moms is right next door. If a dog cannot be adopted, it goes to these so-called rescue groups. Pit bulls are trained to kill by giving them weak dogs to practice on. Somebody has to supply a reliable chain of weak dogs. What better way than to volunteer at a shelter? Makes you think twice about charities that take dogs away from little kids when the ASPCA is more than willing to give a dog to a family with small children. Why would you need to take any dog from children with no real proof that they were in danger?

I set up a 10 gallon fish tank for goldfish. I put an orange and black oranda and a bubble-eyed goldfish in the tank. Two days later the oranda got ich. I treated the tank and then the ich went away. About a week later both fish had the ich. I ended up taking the fish out of the tank and the oranda ended up dying. The bubble-eyed recovered and did not show any ich for 48 hours. With the tank, I cloroxed the gravel, plants, air line, and everything else and bought a new tank. I also replaced the oranda with another from the same store. A week later the new oranda died and the bubble-eyed and the red cap oranda have ich again. I have never had this much trouble with a goldfish tank! HELP!!!!!!

The other day I woke up to find one of my cats dead, out of nowhere. I checked for rat poison around the house ( we moved in about 2 months ago ) and came up empty handed. I also have two other cats. Now my kitten, two days later, has become lethargic and I dont think he will make it through the night. I am worried for my 3rd cats health and dont know what to do! Any suggestions or similar experiences? Anything would be appriciated! I am bringing any remaining cats to the vet in the morning!

Recently my cat started scratching like crazy. He is about 7 months old, DSH, male, fixed. He doesnt seem to have fleas and hasnt had any changes in his food. This is gross but when he itches like this he will leave little black dots in that spot he was sitting in (like dandruff). These black dots are not fleas~they seem like bits of dry skin and are super tiny, like sand. His fur is fine, nice and fluffy and I try to brush him really good but the itching continues. I think it may have to do with the cooler weather (??) but the question is ' WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP THIS??' Is it normal??

She has threatened them & us. Now our two cats are sick and exhibiting signs of poisoning. They are being watched, currently doing better. We looked around to see what could have made them ill, and found that she's poured a white powdered substance all along our shared fence in her yard. We called the police who questioned her and she said it was an insect repellent made of crushed sea shells. Just being near it caused burning in my nose and lips. but, Unless we can have substance tested to prove it's poison, there is apparently nothing the police can do. We're worried of course about our animals, and also about our health including that of our young nephew who spends a lot of time here. Has anyone dealt with this kind of thing? What can we do, how can we find out if she has in fact laid out poison? Are there any agencies that can help us? (Please, if you have hateful, rude or useless things to share just move on, this is really serious). Thank you for your help.
