I've known this with one of my inexperienced hens. I don't think she was feeding the chicks properly.
I solved the problem by taking her eggs and popping them under another brooding hen.
Unfortunately I never got to know if the hen would have eventually 'got the message' as she escaped!!
Her eggs hatched successfully though and foster mum raised them ok.

Sounds like you need a new hen as this one is not feeding the chicks, try taking the hen out and letting the male rear them.

Oh it particularly is so unhappy, bless them. Do the mummy and dad seem troubled? possibly they do no longer guard them correct because of the fact they do no longer prefer to place the attempt in. Animals could be extremely chilly and sensible that way, in the event that they experience there is not any longer sufficient food, area or if the chick is improper in some way, they only enable it to die. possibly you may desire to furnish them greater room and someplace for nesting. or merely supply up them from mating, i comprehend with budgies in case you do no longer supply then nesting factors or someplace they might use as a nest, they do no longer mate, they do no longer even lay eggs. possibly you will possibly desire to keep an impressive variety of soreness and suffering and seem into no longer allowing them to mate. Animals don't have a similar mentality with toddlers, human beings are extremely sentimental, animals on the entire do it as area of their nature just to greater desirable the species.

As a breeder I have found that some young hens often stop feeding their young in the first 2 broods! do you have other pairs in your aviary? I have found that when they have young the best thing to feed them is soaked sprouting seed Soak overnight in warm water Sunflower black/white Hemp,Niger and a little Groats this is oats without the husk, rinse .drain and place somewhere warm till it sprouts then feed it to them.
Hope you have more succes

It could be a genetic fault with one of the parents. Or, if they are kept near the kitchen, they could be breathing fumes let off by teflon pans. I've heard this can be quite toxic for some birds.
