I already know what kind of bird this is since I see them all the time in my backyard and surrounding area. This particular bird was seen in my backyard about two years ago or so, in NJ. Easy ten points, but they are beautiful aren't they?

Sure looks like a young Red-Tailed Hawk. I'm also in NJ and see them all the time- not usually this close. Nice pic!

It is definitely a Red Tailed Hawk. I have rehabilitated MANY of them. Beautiful picture BTW.

That's definitely a Red Tailed Hawk, but a juvenile. :-) Juveniles have brown tails and white chests. As they mature, their tails turn red and chest turns brown.

Hope this helps!
