My families cat went to the vet and the vets think that she has Pneumonia is it treatable. Well the vet checked her and took test but it didnt come out to be Pneumonia but he said that since one side of her lungs souds well and the others doesnt. And she was laying around- not being her normal self. So if you know whats wrong or if it is Pneumonia please answer back. ASAP

my cat had a mild case of pneumonia when he was about 4 months old the vet gave me some antibiotics and he was fine.

Yes,it's treatable.Did the vet give you antibiotics for her,because if he thinks it's pneumonia,then that's what she needs.Also,to help her breathe easier,run hot water in your bathroom and take her in there,or rig up a steam box.Get a cat carrier,put a towel in it for her to lay on,then drape a towel over the carrier.Sit a warm steam vaporizer next to the carrier and direct the steam towards the carrier ( not too close,you don't want to scald the cat) This should help her breathe easier.Also,give her warm chicken and beef broth to drink.But make sure to get the antibiotics.Lysine is good,too.A gel called "Viralys" is especially good for cats with Upper Respiratory Infections or viruses.

yes it is treatable, but if your vet didn't give you antibiotics, find a new vet.
