how do i get rid of ringworm on a dog

it goes away on it's own. I have caught ringworm myself from animals and I never went to the doctor. It can be itchy but otherwise it is harmless. It just looks ugly. If you want to spend $150 on unnecessary ringworm medicine at the vet then that is up to you. All you really need to do is go to a store and get some medicated dog shampoo and wash him every 3 days with it and he may get over it faster. If not oh well, like I said it will go away on it's own. And not all ringworm types are contagious. If you have been touching him and you have not gotten ringworm yet then it is probably the kind that does not spread.

you need to take the dog to the vet to have a proper diagnosis. Oral antifungals and possibly shampoo will be prescribed. You cannot get rid of ringworm at home

Try rubbing Vicks Vapo Rub on the ringworm...

You take the dog to the Vet and let the Vet do the diagnosing and then the Vet will prescribe the correct medication and dosage for your pet.

Take your dog to the vet and they will prescribe medication. That's the best thing you could do for your dogs problem...and the quickest.
