What catalogs do you subscribe to? I probably get 2-3 different pet supply catalogs delivered to my home every week. How about the rest of you? Which ones do you like? Which don't you like? Which offers the best services? Prices? How often do you order pet supplies from these catalogs?

Is there any type of lizard out there thats somewhat friendly, likes to be held or doesnt have a problem with it and gets full grown length from 6inches to 1 1/2 feet? And isn't a real pain to keep (somewhat hardy), besides a bearded dragon (we have one). Thanks

I'm using the ice cube method, but I think that the ice causes the temperature to go down way too fast. I heard it's really bad for the fish. I just got home and my temp tank is almost 90 degrees holy california heat wave. Chillers are out of the question, they are like 500 bucks for one! Any other method that works, or should I stick to ice?

I recently got a puppy, very cute girl. She’s two and a half months. I want to spade her because I just don’t want to deal with the possibility of her getting pregnant. But I've been hearing a lot of bad things about the procedure. I hear that they lose a lot of there energy or they tend to gain weight and are unable to lose weight. Is this true? Are there any other negative side effects? It’s making me have second thoughts. What should I do?? PLEASE HELP! Thank you!

OK so my dad just let Starr our dog back in the house after he Sprayed her with Adams Tick & Flea remover, and now she's as hyper as h*ll and wont stop running around and rubbing against the furnitrure.

And my dad let her back in because "She'd get more fleas if let her stay out there". Now the house the furniture and evertyhing else stinks.

Can I trust the 1800petmeds type of places to get medication? Also, do they offer prescriptions anyway? I have a five year old dog (maltese/shiatsu) that I have had since he was six weeks. He gets a urinary tract infection about once every six months. I want to just get him medicine. Every time it happens, my vet wants to run all the tests on him that we have already run (it costs 1000.00 each time). I just want to get him the medication he needs and get him on it without all this extra expense every six months. His blood work, urine samples, xrays and any and all tests come back completely normal. He is eating fine, drinking fine. I just know he has another infection because he strains to pee and when he does, it is just drops of blood. Three days on an antibiotic and he is fine (even though I finish it out). Any help would be appreciated.

We just got home from the emergency clinic where our male cat was diagnosed with a UTI. I had a cat previous to this that started out having UTI's with occasional blockage. We had him on the Science Diet perscription diet for years and that kept it in check. Later in life he developed a problem with his kidneys which led to kidney failure. I don't know if there's a connection but I'd sure like to avoid it if possible, and common sense tells me there could be a connection with UTI and kidney problems.

My question is I'd like to research better foods and would be interested to hear any thoughts or good links to start researching. My cat has been eating dry food and I'm reading it's not the best. It's going to be hard to get this cat on a wet diet if it's needed (he doesn't like canned) and if you have suggestions about that it's welcome also. So far I've been looking at Wellness

Thanks in advance...

At the moment I have a valley bulldog, he isn't that big. But I really want to get a second dog (a chihuahua). My bulldog is well trained, and a rough or vicious dog. I know that chihuahuas are very fragile dogs. But I see pictures of chihuahuas with larger breed dogs all the time, and even on breeders websites.

Do you think it would be okay to have a valley bulldog, and a chihuahua??

Please no dumb answers, I rather not waste my time reading them. Thanks.

I have a chihuahua/dachshund mix, 3 years old. I play with him for about an hour a day and walk him once in the morning and once at night. He also has dozens of dog toys that he doesn't play with. Instead, he sleeps all dayand night! He has always been like this, so I guess he is just naturally lazy. But I'm scared that he might just be bored out of his mind. Is it ok that he sleeps so much?

I have a pet Gecko. It eats crickets bought from pet stores. I also get large black crickets in my basement. If I put those crickets in the tank with the gecko, would he be able to eat them? would they be able to hurt him? could they make him sick? could they give him worms?

I work at an animal shelter. On Wednesday, a one year old Pitt Bull will be put up for adoption. They want me to name her. She is a redish brown color. She has brown eyes. She is very sweet and lovabe. I want a name that repersents a new start. Or to repersent her sweet nature. Any ideals?

No mean resposes please.

I have a shiba inu, male four years old, and he has been neutered. The last two days, he has been trying to get out of the front door, which he never has done, and whines and even lays by the front door. Then he will run around in circles and then go lay on everyones bed in the house, which he never does either. He is fine when we let him in the fenced yard, he is eating and drinking and going to the bathroom, but he is just not himself. If he keeps doing this, we will take him to the vet. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? And no, we have no bad storms moving in.

Over the last couple of days, I have done a TON of research over rats and I'm convinced a rat is perfect for me. But I already have a gerbil, had him since February, and I love him so much. I have already talked to my mom about getting a rat, and she actually wants one! But I don't know if I got one, would my gerbil feel left out? I know I will keep spending as much time with him and the rat as possible, I think it will just feel wierd....?

I've been having my cockatiels for 2 years now and they won't eat fruit or vegetables. I give them fresh fruit & vegetables everyday but they wont touch it. I bought them from Petsmart and they were really mean and nasty when I got them. They have calmed down alot but they still wont eat fruit & vegetables no matter what kind I give them. Is it any way that I can get them to eat it?

Im thinking about getting a corn snake, i know they dont get very large, and i love animals.
Ive been very interested in snakes and have had much experience with pythons,
But the thing is i still live with my mom and i havent tooken an effort of getting a new pet becuse i havent really thought about it, and yet i have.
So i must get a small snake, but the least bit active
Or does anyone know of beautifully colored snakes
who dont get too big and would go great for a punky girl such as myself

Ok... I know the obvious solution is to just not put clothes on her... which I am not. I just don't understand WHY. She is 2 years old, and I have been putting clothing on her occasionally all of her life. I generally only put clothes on her when it is a dress-up occasion (like a wedding) or if I think she is cold.

However, the past few times I have tried to put clothes on her, she has tried to bite me. =[ She is not a violent dog at all. She is very small (4.5lbs). Do you think putting clothes on her could be hurting her in some way? She only bites when I go to put her feet inside.
