Is there any type of lizard out there thats somewhat friendly, likes to be held or doesnt have a problem with it and gets full grown length from 6inches to 1 1/2 feet? And isn't a real pain to keep (somewhat hardy), besides a bearded dragon (we have one). Thanks

Blue tongue skink. In my opinion they're tamer than bearded dragons. I've owned at least a few of both, and they're both great, but I prefer blue tongues. They eat anything don't require the high heat like beardies. Ours will eat bananas out of our hands. They never get stressed out, at least in my experiences.

I KNOW JUST THE LIZARD FOR YOU!!! it fits exactly your criteria, and i have one so i can tell you from owner to owner what it's like. it is.... the mali uromastyx!!! he is so easy to take care of. mine is named Rascal. they love being held, and feeding is absolutely not a hassle. i just feed him some veggies on my way in to bed, and some fruit like twice a week. they dont bite. they are definitely hardy, and get from about 14 inches to somewhat bigger. i am so happy with mine! here, im going to put a page in the source box to help you. i am definitely convinced this is what you need. TRUST ME, YOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH THIS LIZARD!! good luck!

Tokay Geckos are hardy, large for geckos, easy to take care of, and inexpensive. The only problem is that they tend to bite. We have 2 that are tame, but they are still tokays and have their moments.

frilled dragons, most agamids, geckos other than tokays are pretty friendly.

Leopard Geckos are nice, and easier to keep than a beardie. I have both. :)
