First you need to go to the vet to make sure it will be a sucess and maybe find some people that is RESPONSIBLE to take one and give one a good home give a small fee to make sure they are serious if you aren't sure.
Try not to throw them in the shelter please! what kind of dog got her pregnant do you know? It might be a strange looking dog that no one will want to get and may be put down at the shelter so please don't do that first!

Take her to the vet, and get her checked over. Your vet will give you the best information you will need. You should have taken her to the vet as soon as the accident happened, as most likely, ( if it really was an accident. ) The father is not the same breed, and is much lager than a chihuahua, and this will put your dog at risk when giving birth, as the puppies will be much lager too.

Do you have any idea what kind of dog bred her? How big it was? If she was bred by a much larger dog, she is going to be in big trouble. The best thing to do would be to have her spayed. How did the dog get into the house when no one was home? Doggy door? Her life and the life of the puppies will be at great risk if she is allowed to continue the pregnancy if the male was lots bigger than she is.

Your pet will carry the pups for 9 weeks from day of breeding and I hope she bred with another dog her same size, because if not, then you will have problems. If a larger dog bred her, then I would take her to vet and get an abortion of the litter,as if pups are too big for her to freewhelp on her own,you will need a C-section,which could cause you to loose your pet and pups.

You may want to get her checked at The vets. Not knowing The background of the male The pups may be to big for her to deliver on her own. This may kill both th mom and pups if you don't have a c-section. A vet can do x-rays and ultrasounds in a week to try to determine the size of the pups.
If she is able to whelp freely then she will often do it herself but I would try to do as much searching as possible, sometimes they won't take them out of the sac, they may not chew the umbilical or they may chew it to short.
She may not nurse them there are so many possibilities.
The more studying the better, they carry for 63 days give or take a day or two.
