i have been told my cat witch is a domestic short haired cat is a different breed because it has very black pads on its paws and it is a large cat that loves playing with my dog,it also has a lot of loose skin on his under belly. Dose any one know if this is true or false ? Thank you .

the first time i got my aquarium (by the way: it has a filter and everything) i got 4 fish and after a while they all died.. after that i got 2 fish and they too died and then i got another one and it died.. why is that happening??!! i stopped trying to get fish cause im freakin tired of the fish always dying..
could it be because of the water? should i get bottled water or something?
and i notice that every fish that died curls.. why is that? is that even normal?
and sometimes there are green stuff on the aquarium from the inside?
and by the way i do wash my aquarium every month or so..

1st, don't tell me to keep the cat inside, this is what I do with my cats, that's why I have no experience with outdoor cats. This one is a feral kitten I rescued because it had a problem, and I took it to the vet to have surgery, spayed it and some friends will take it but they will keep it outdoors. The other option is to go back on the streets.
My question is, how to approach the issue? The kitten is 3 months old, but very timid, at least at first. We went to the new house, she tried to run away and hide. Then she would sit on my lap, but not move,although in my house she is very playful. I suggested that they keep her in a room for a few days, and then keep her on the balcony before letting her outside. How long should she be kept in the house? How do they learn to feel that this is home and not run away, even if they are in the garden?

Help please! I have never taken care of cats before. I rescued two kittens from the rubbish bin that were approx 4 days old. I feed them kitten formula in small amounts every three hours or so. Amazingly they are still alive and growing fast. The vet says they are healthy but very small. Any suggestions on how and when I should switch to babycat nibbles? Someone recommended Royal Canin?? Do I mix them with the milk, or go straight to water? If you can, please tell me how to make this change. They are now three weeks old. When's a good time to start? Thanks - Trying to be a good mother cat!

A friend's roommate spends all of her time at her lover's place and is literally never home. I am the only person who gives her neglected cat any attention and the cat runs to me every time I arrive and stays by me during my entire visit. I have really grown to love her and everybody calls her my cat now. I've had cats before and have never liked one as much as this one. Her owner has decided to give her away. My apartment building's owner said I can't have her, but the apartment manager likes me and wants me to have her. She said she would turn a blind eye but would have to play dumb if the building owner finds out. I can't afford to move and I'm afraid of getting evicted. I hope to move within the next year, but I don't know if I'll be able to for sure. I can't stand the thought of giving this cat away to a stranger. What should I do?

my love bird is in and out of her cage most of the day and is very active and love standing on her perches and im sure shes healthy but every night she sleeps at the bottom of her cage so i put a towel there for her to sleep on and now she burrows into it and falls alseep. Anyways i was just wondering if that was normal.

Okay guys, I have already asked about the kennel cough. Now a new question. My baby is coughing sooo hard now, and there is not a local vet emergence room in my area. I had a friend that works with dogs tell me that I could give him children's cough syrup to help supress the cough until the vet opens on Tuesday. The only problem is that I can't get him to take the meds. I have to force it down him and he is too big of a dog for me to hold down and force the meds all at the same time. Anyone know of an easier way?

So I currently own a 5 month old bichon shih tzu. heres a pic:

and for halloween I was planning on her being a bumble bee. So i would make a black cone to go around her tail as the stinger and then I would buy a yellow baby shirt and paint stripes on it with blue wings. Do you think that sounds cute? If not do you have any suggestions instead?

Ok Friday morning I got up and my dogs front left foot was swollen. I checked it for thorns, stickers etc.. Nothing. I looked online to see what I could give him for pain. I finaly got a aspirin down him later that afternoon. He laid around all day. I gave him 1more aspirin late that night. This morning I get up and hes limping but walking and tring to play, better than the day before. Tonight the swellin has gone down, but I guess he had an abcess and it burst. What can I put on it untill I can get him to the vet? I read something about witch hazel on a cotton ball? Dont tell me I should take him to the vet asap. My car is broke down we live 25 miles from the closet vet and my check didnt come in on friday.And monday is a holiday. I thought he may have just sprained it untill it started bleeding late tonight

My neighbours dog is a german shepherd mix with a wolf or husky im not sure, but theres two. One a female and a male. Sometimes i watch the dogs and the female seems have a soar throat and last time i saw booger pus coming out of her nose? Is she sick or something? Also i can hear her its like there stuff in her throat. You know when you get a soar throat and you have thesee gunt in there....... Is she Sick??

I do all you mentioned. I have a very strict routine. It’s not the coming and going I am worried about. What is worrying me is that she gets very upset at simple things, not obvious ones. Like a bug in the room, a piece of mud in the porch, when I put out my cigarette with my right hand instead of left, when I am in the tub and I use liquid soap instead of the bar or when I breath different. She gets stressed out, but not aggressive. She barks, she paces, whines and freaks out over these things. For example tonight when I lit the bbq she was just fine. After 10 min she started barking at the grill and salivating (Nothing on the grill yet) and grabbed the leg of the grill and tried to run off with it! When we stopped tried to stop her she stood in front of the grill, did not growl but tried to fend us off. Then she took the tongs and started to try and bury them. What is that???
