my love bird is in and out of her cage most of the day and is very active and love standing on her perches and im sure shes healthy but every night she sleeps at the bottom of her cage so i put a towel there for her to sleep on and now she burrows into it and falls alseep. Anyways i was just wondering if that was normal.

one of my mates has one of those and that thing is nuts but anyway yeh they have this sort of plushy triangle thing in its cage where it goes into and sleeps all the time. i don't know if there's anything 'normal' about lovebirds coz they strike me as rather a shameless sort of creature but at least yours isn't the only one who wants to go burrow into something to sleep.
p.s. does yours also like to throw up its food for you like it's some sign of appreciation? that's what my mate's bird does. pretty disconcerting!

Remove the towel. This will promote egg laying if this is a hen. This will also make a male aggressive and nippy.

This is common nesting behavior and not something you want to start doing. Some love birds feel more comfortable sleeping on the bottom because they go so deep into sleep they seem to fall off their perches, so they tend to sleep on the bottom to prevent this. But to be sure you should have blood work done just to make sure there is NO underlying problem first.

I've personally had a few that have done this without an under lying problem.

I would not promote a nesting behavior though by any means. Even in the wild, they do not seek out a nest to sleep. They find a branch to perch and sleep. You do not want to encourage nesting behavior. Once it starts it's hard to stop and you may end up losing the bond, plus your bird with this kind of behavior.

Good Luck!

My lovebird sleeps on the cage floor as well. I think it's just s,omething they do. My lovie though won't cuddle itno anything she just kinda curls up in the corner. At first I had thought she was sick but she's ok.It's totally normal for a lovebird, don't know why though.
