I have had my tank set-up since Jan. of this year. Every thing has been going really well till yesterday. I did a regular water change and everything looked great, but when I got up this morning 7 of my fish were dead. Not all my fished died but 7 was like half. I have a 75 gallon tank. I did a test on the water everything was good.

I have a 30 gallon salt water tank and I'm using one of those hang on pumps that runs the water through a filter and dumps it back in. (Yes I know I should be using something better... leave me alone!)

But anyways, how high can I keep my water level? Right now it's about 2.5 in. from the top of the glass. That's low enough so the bubbles from the water return reach the bottom. Is that about as much as I need? Or can I fill it even more?

It's just a single 4 in. fish inside.

I am looking to upgrade my 5 gallon mini bow to maybe just a regular 10 gallon all glass fish tank?? how much would that put me at. i.e gravel, a hood, and othe misc. stuff??? i would purchase it from petco or petsmart. and they dont show all glass tanks (regular rectangular tanks) at either of the wed sites. so if you could help thanks very much in advance!

We're moving into a terrace house soon with 3 cats and are worried that they will run away. As they've been indoor cats all their lives, they're aged 9 years, 7 years and 7 months respectively, we're worried they won't know how to find their way back once they get out. What can we do besides keeping doors and windows closed and setting up high fences?

Does anyone have experience with disabled people and riding?
My husbands cousin was injured in a motorcycle accident a year ago today. He shattered T12 and is now paralyzed from the waist down at only 20 years old. He has ridden before but is by no means experienced. Both of my horses are trustworthy and we would of course be with him at all times.
If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

i know it is very hard to discipline a cat but my cat just keep scratching and biting me and it's hurting. at first it was all good fun becaus e he never scratched or bit be that hard but now it's really hurting. i was trying to make him stop so i yelled at him and then he jumped at my face.....ithat was the straw that broke the camels back!!! i need to discipline him somehow.

I think the cat has herpes, she shows the signs of it and the baby kitten is crying we give it a bottle but how can i isolate the mother cat from the baby 2 week old kitten? will the kitten get herpes, does he have it already? What can I do> the mother cat is sneezing, eye oozing, nose oozing, bloody cuts on nose.. this is bad. we have other cats too. I have so much stress on me and so little time to do what I need to do. Is there anything natural that we can do? I know my mom probably wont bring them to the vet.....

With all the new hype surrounding Michael Vick and now the proposed Pit Bull ban in Mass. and other states, I just thought folks would find this little quiz interesting. My oscars have been together for over a year. most of time swimming next to each other.one smaller than the other. At times the larger would intimidate and chase the smaller to its hiding place. last night the smaller one has totally domintated the larger one. major lip locking. and the smaller is now chasing the larger to a hiding place. but they return for more lip locking and mouthes wide open, face to face.I have devided them with a see through contraption.Because I am not sure if they are male and female getting ready to spawn or if one is gonna kill the other. I need some answers fast. this started last night and is still going on. Their lips are quite bruised. Please answer right away, somebody..

Hi, though I do not use it - but I was reading online and is it true you can use Bottled water (Mineral water) from supermarkets for your fish tanks?! Is this true?!! Gosh, If I did a water change today of a 10 gallon tank, and add 10% mineral water - would this be good for my fishy? My tank is established by the way. Seems like since so many people hate it, as some have claimed, it would be banned. Why would so many places refuse to ban the Pit Bull when, as some have claimed, it is absolutely hated (for no reason, of course) by so many people?

Hello.
I have 2 small orange tetras in my small fish aquarium (the aquarium that comes as a set, with a filter, light, and air pump).
I also purchased a feeder fish (i don't know what kind of fish it is, i just got it for 10 cents at the local Petco) and put it in the tank.
I noticed today, that the feeder fish keeps on chasing on my orange tetras around.
I don't know if they are playing, or if the feeder fish is chasing them, trying to scare them.
are feeder fish normally aggressive?
what should i do?
