I'm really considering getting a 20 gallon and thought about putting some tiger barbs, but what are some ideas if you had one?

I went to the store the other day and i saw Gouramis on sale......4 bucks each, and i thought they're very pretty.

so i was wondering what anyone's experience with them is.

are they good fish? what do they eat? etc

I have a big dog (rotti) and 2 smaller ones. Can't afford groomer's fees, they are all short haired so I know it's not something that is necessary very often. I just want an easy solution to doing it.

Need a "horse fix". Miss being around (training, grooming, cleaning 31 stalls each day) Need a vacation. Why not do both?

Would love to ride Egypt on a lovely Arabian horse. A riding friend of mine used to take "Horse Trecks" totally horseback for days/week. I know it's available, can't find the link - End of Internet boundry reached. "My kingdom for a horse."

I'd even consider (love) going to a working ranch and shoveling poops (ahhh, Chanel #5) in exchange for riding, archaeology on the side would be fabulous. (have trowel, will travel - that was digging at the Ghost Ranch in NM)

I ramble. Any suggestions or recommendations are appreciated. Apologies if my preference for 'Aye-rabs' offends, it is my passion, all things equine are equally beautiful.

in september my dad is getiing me a german shepherd for my birthday. My parents are divorced and i am with my dad every wednesday and every other weekend. The dog will always be at his house do you think the dog will still see me as its owner and be loyal to me? Also we are planning to bulid a dog run with a dog house is it ok to have it sleep there even if it sleeps with me when im there?

We just got a Beta and the store said feed him 3 pellets a day, but the bottle says 6-8 twice a day. I'm scared to overfeed him. So far we've worked up to 8. Four in the morning, and 4 in the afternoon. Also, he's ready to breed and making a nest so we're wondering if he can still grow? How big do they get?

My husband wants to put them in the horses water to keep it clean. I figured if it was possible it would be a well known thing to do. If you can't how about snails? What could i use to keep it clean? It gets so gross.

he sometimes like snezzes put like water comes out of his nose this happens when he sleeps on my arm i had him for 2 days he is like 2 months old i got him at the pet store they told me that he was healthy but i dont i have a heat lamp on him and he just sleeps. please help me sole this thing he hase and i think he is shy only in its cage hes not use to the cage what are good sighns of being healthy?

got tank up and running, left it, took water samples down before fish, got fish but everytime we do a test, bright pink and green, done water changes, changed filters etc, done water change yesterday, today back to pink and green, what can we be doing wrong, is there anything else anyone can suggest. Lost one fish, tanks been up and running for about 4 weeks. aquarium man said it just needs maturing but do 50% water change regular. Help!!!!

My parakeet was given to me by someone else so it is pretty old. From time to time it tries to use its wings and looks like its having seisures. I dont even know if its dying.Please help to save my beloved bird by submitting your answers, all help is greatly appreciated ;]

There is a small (not kitten, just small) grey cat that has wandered onto our property. We have asked around and he/she doesn't belong to anyone in the area. It has returned many times, but won't let us near it yet. I started putting food out for it last week and have seen him/her eat from the bowl from a window (as soon as I go outside, he/she runs away). He has sat far away and watched me fill the bowl, and only runs to eat when I go inside. When I return to the bowl, it is usually empty or near empty, so he/she is obviously hungry. I think he is beginning to trust me, but still won't let me near enough to touch/really have a good look at him, let alone bring it to the vet to see if it's healthy.

In the meantime, I would like to be able to provide it with some sort of shelter. Is there a good type of "cat house" out there that anyone could recommend? I could also build something (out of wood), if anyone has specific ideas that cats have accepted as their "home" outdoors.

I've been reading up on it, and got a book that I've read. I've been feeding her frozen bloodworms, which are thawed. She's seen the male a few times from inside a protected area but she still won't get hr 'i'm ready lines' or get any eggs. The guy at the petstore said it's age and you don't have to feed her anything special but everything in books and that I've read online don't say that. Please help!

I have a common alge eater in my 10 gallon tank. theres 3 other fish all tetra. about a week ago the tank started getting alge on the walls. before that the agle eater was getting it clean. and suddenly he stop cleaning the walls and the bottom of the tank. i didnt make any changes at all only water changes. and it never bothered him before. any ideas?

I own a freshwaater tank and now want a saltwater tank.
I have no budget and will splurge if need to. The fish i like are butterflyfish, clown fish, angel fish, and tangs. If you have any info on fish that would be good in the tank about the fish i want oranything to do with starting the tank would be great.

I have 2 cats who use to share a bowl of food, one needs to lose weight, so we have to give them measured out portions twice a day, how do you do that and make sure that they both get the even amount? I'm afraid one will be a piggy and eat all the food so the other gets none? how do you train a cat to eat out of their bowl only?
