i have a 8 weeks old german shepherd. I think he got sick and catched cold. He has running nose and he was sneezing. Is there any thing i can do before i take him to the vets?

My slow apartment neighbor who is an expert at complaining thanks to his mom is getting a dog. I can see it now where my neighbor is walking his dog near my balcony where all tenants walk their dogs and my cats hiss at him out of fear. My neighbor is the type who will knock on my door and tell me my cats are scaring his dog. He will make it seem like he is so nice while criticizing me. Granted he may not understand what is going on but at same time is trying to make my cats the root of all problems. How should I handle this if it happens?

We adopted a male and female cat very young. They were brought up together, both are now fixed and about 10 months old. They are both indoor/outdoor cats. The other night the male came home with an injured tail and back paw. We've cleaned her up and she seems on the mend. But now the female cat hisses at her and puts her paw up at the male like to strike. They always got along very well, sleeping together, playing etc. What's up with this attitude? We're not sure if perhaps the female actually did the damage to the male or if some other animal did it. But is it possible the female thinks the male is now weaker? We have to keep them separated now and it breaks our hearts. Any suggestions?

Well I found a beautiful healty, female border collie.I gave her a bath and she was extremley dirty,and had a couple "matts" in her booty,she is 100% purbred and marked very pretty she is so healty she almost looks pregnant but I don't think she is.She is a well mannered dog and know's "sit" and "lay".How in the world can I found her owner cause she had been running around for about a week already and just yesterday I wanted to help her.I really beleive an honest owner has just lost there pet,she has a collar on.Where can I find her owner? Thats my question.Thanks

I just got a 3 week old blue nose, she is so adorable! I've heard that they are the meanist breed of pitbulls, is that true? I also have a wite american pit, and she is agressive, but pitbulls make realy good pets. Lots of people have misconceptins on this dog, they are very loyal to their owners if you treat them right, they will defend you and gaurd your house.

following up on the previous question about convincing my parents to get me a dog. I can understand that since no one is at home from 8 (my parents leave for work then) to generally 2 to 3 in the afternoon (when I get back from school), it might not be a good idea to keep a dog. I did read that some dogs are find left alone for this period of time so I thought it would be ok. But the thing is I need to know then does that mean I will never be suitable to keep a dog, since my parents expect me to work overseas, so there would probably be no one in the house to look after the dog even after I grow up.

My step mom's cat just had babies and I want to know how long I have to wait to touch/pet/hold any of them.
I have heard that you must not touch a cat's kittens for 6-8 weeks or she will not feed it.

i don't think they are fleas, she does not go outside, but she was laying on a piece of white paper and started scatching and little black specks were on the paper. there was no blood evident so this can't be fleas? what is this?

I currently have a horse but due to health issues just now i can't ride him he is only 5yrs and has so much potential so i don't want to waste it by not riding him for a yr or so, i also can't sell him i love him to much to lose him forever.

I thought about loaning him out for a year so that i could put more money into treatment just now, and also he would get ridden lots more! but i don't know anything about loaning out a horse, what does the loanee pay and how does it work?

At least if i loan him then i have a goal to work too in getting my health back so i can get my baby back.

alright heres the deal i've been doing aquariums for some years now just got a new one and i'm trying to find out if anyone has had trouble with these types of fish in the same tank as tankmates i currently have 2 anglefish,1 dojo loach,2 fruit tetras,2 large gold guamies,1 kissing guarmie,1dwarf guarmie,2 ropefish,1knifefish,1 fantail goldfish,1black moore,2mollies,1sunset platty,1 pleco,1 corydora,2 golden barbs,2tiger barbs,and 1 female guppy they were in a 40 gallon but i wanted to make them a little more comfy so i got a 55 gallon and i added a few from another tank i just want to know if i'm in for any surprises or what any help is appreciated thanks
