What I meant to say was that for example there's a fish that grew up in a dirty pond and you took it home and put it in a clean aquarium. Will it die because of the transition?

thats very debateable for one it depends on the fish and for two if the water is treated correctly it should do a little better but you'd have to keep and eye on it i was told by the guy at the petshop i go to that when you clean the tanks completely your taking all the bacterea and everything that fish need out of a tank and you'd have to recycle the tank by using fish thats expendable like goldfish to get the aquarium balanced again

A pond can be cloudy, and still be clean,an aquarium can be clear and still be dirty. It's more about chemistry than clarity.
Also the transfer must be gradual, just floating the bag is not a safe way to acclimate a fish. If the waters are vastly different in chemistry the transfer should be done very slowly and carefully by using the"drip method". Instructions for this can be found in the forums or websites for fish care.

Not as long as the transfer to the clean environment is gradual so as not to put the fish into shock. The fish should be put in a bag with the dirty water and floated in the clean. Gradually add a little bit of the clean water into the bag, say every 15 minutes over a period of several hours. Once the bag is filled with at least half clean and half dirty water it should be safe to put the fish fully into the clean water.
