I know it will take longer than a month...i just didn't have any more room in the question title. She has had puppies before so I know what to expect. I just didnt know if that could mean absolute pregnancy or not. and yes she is in heat.

If they actually tied, then it's very possible that she is pregnant. The usual gestation of pregnancy is 58 to 63 days. The best and safest thing to do, is to make sure that your female, is under a veterinarians constant care. Even if you have experienced and even assisted in the birth process before, she can still develop complications during her pregnancy and her delivery because not every pregnancy is the same. When it comes down to it, the way I look at it is, it's always better to have a vet standing by, just in case something does goes wrong and she needs help. You'll be happy you did in the long run.

Do everyone a favor and get your dog spayed. You don't have a clue about breeding. Your nothing but a disgusting backyard breeder, bringing more unwanted litters into this world. There are not enough homes and to many dogs. Take a walk through a shelter and see how many dogs are put down because of irresponsible, ignorant people like you.

It is an irony, and a monument to the stupidity of some posters here, that the only two persons who got the length of pregnancy right, get's a thumbsdown from some ignoramus.
Gestation is 63 days on average.
And congratulations for indiscriminate breeding of dogs, that are probably not even registered or health check BEFORE breeding.
By the way, they were not "stuck together", what you saw is called a tie.

Well if they were tied, then yes they will most likely have pups in 58 to 63 days after you saw them tie.
Better start to read up on how to take care of a pregnant dam and whelping and good puppy care now. Also your girl needs to be seen by your vets through out her pregnancy.

Have your parents take her to the vet and have her checked. They can do a surgical procedure called "spaying" that will let you know for sure whether or not she was pregnant, and prevent her from ever getting pregnant again.
If you have to ask a question like this on Yahoo, it means that you have NO business bringing more dogs into an already overpopulated world.

It's a possibility. It takes 9 weeks for puppies. Watch her closely. You'll be able to tell.

no honestly you should go to the vet ASAP and get both of them fixed within the next week as you would not be asking these questions if you knew what you were doing. don't contribute to all the pups/dogs that are mutts and bred by backyard breeders.. don't become a backyard breeder... good luck
HONESTY HURTS SOMETIMES!! BUT MY ANSWER IS REALLY YOUR BEST APPROACH.....
Edit: are your dogs purebreds? related? have they been hip certified? have they been registered? are they just to cute not to breed? etc... etc... etc.... really there are so many pups/dogs out there in shelters why would you want to contribute? get them fixed and stop the cycle so that more people go to shelters and adopt rather than getting dogs that were not properly bred and researched.... sorry but that's my opinion and that's what this forum is all about....

if your female was in heat, then i would tell you that yes, you will definately want to start watching for signs of pregnancy.
And i would also like to admonish you for not having you pets spayed and neutered. What are you going to do with 3-12 puppies?

a month is kind of a short time, but puppies could definitely be on the way. why aren't the dogs you have spayed an neutered?
