Try bathing it in a baby shampoo that has lavender in it. My friend told me that flees do not like the lavender. (?) So when my kitten had flees I bathed her in it, plus she smells great. I also used Sergeant's Nature's Guardian: Natural Flea and Tick Powder. It states that it is for kittens 12 weeks or older but mine was the same age as yours. I had to do something I did not want flees in my house. It worked and I bathed her frequently until they were gone. She is a yr old now and I haven't seen a flee since then. However, she is a house cat and does not go out at all. I still bathe her in the baby shampoo. Good Luck!

my vet told be to use a teaspoon of dawn diswashing liq., latherr the kitten up where the soap is thick leave it on for about a minute and rinse......the fleas will fall off dead. KEEP IN MIND, this is not really good for the kitten, it can not be repeated over and over some vets will say no but my kitten had so many fleas i really had no choice, it worked and didnt hurt the kitten.

Dawn dish soap kills fleas on contact. It is also very gentle. I don't know what ingredient it has, but I use it on all my pets. Only Dawn though, other dish soaps don't seem to work. I've bathed kittens as young as two weeks old with Dawn. Be careful not to get it in their eyes or ears. Towel dry them after their bath.

the babies are too young for Advantage and bathing!!!
my vet suggested Seven Dust (its a plant dust for killing small bugs)
i dusted the kittens with Seven (keep it off their head - fleas tend to gather at the tail and underbelly - so dust there first)
Seven worked - use it with a flea comb too (cheap - a must have!!)
problem is - now your home is infested... the key to getting rid of fleas is to vac daily and empty the bag. the vibration of the sweeper pops the fleas out of their pupae stage and into a flea so vac, vac, vac!!!
how do i know?
my dad took in a pregnant cat. she had fleas and he didn't know it.
she gave birth and the very next day the babies were covered in fleas. we couldn't treat babies or mommy with advantage until after 12 weeks because of nursing and age.
so dad bought a sweeper with a canister filter (no bag) and we vac'd every day and used Seven and combed mommy and babies checking for fleas. it took about 2 weeks before we finally stopped seeing fleas.
the key is you HAVE to stick with it - read up on flea cycles and you'll know why.
good luck with the baby kittens! they are adorable!!!

Contact your local veteranarian. They should be able to help. Also, bug bomb your house, making sure that ALL pets and animals are outside before doing so. Get a bug bomb specially designed for fleas and flea eggs. Hope this helps.

Spray with Frontline. Spray, not spot-on. It is the most effective and good treatment for his age. Bathing is just torture for the cat.
