I just got a 3 week old blue nose, she is so adorable! I've heard that they are the meanist breed of pitbulls, is that true? I also have a wite american pit, and she is agressive, but pitbulls make realy good pets. Lots of people have misconceptins on this dog, they are very loyal to their owners if you treat them right, they will defend you and gaurd your house.

Ok, thanks for all the comments. Yes the puppy is 3 weeks old, but the mother was taken away by the pound, so either i got her right then and there or she dies. The others puppies from the same litter are dieying, and mine is very healthy. I also have pass experience in nursing puppies, like my 9 year old pit, which I got at 3 days old. By the way that litter died as well, the only one that survived was my 9 year old pit. I love her to death, abd yes she is a little aggresive, but she has always had an attitude, abd she is old. So naturaly she is going to be a little cranky. I just wanted to know what people thought about blue nose pits. In my opninopn they are the cutiest pits around. My 3 week old puppy will not have any social problems with people or other dogs, seeing that i own 3 other dogs and a cat. As you can see I am an animal lover.

There are so many things wrong with this post:

"I just got a 3 week old blue nose"
> 3 WEEKS old?! Absolute minimum is 8 weeks, definitely no earlier. Many breeders keep them until 12 weeks because the pups are still learning from their mother and each other about social skills (bite inhibition, pack behavior, etc.), and it makes for more well-adjusted dogs. Here is a link that overviews puppy development:
http://www.ddfl.org/behavior/pup-dev.pdf

"I've heard that they are the meanist breed of pitbulls, is that true? I also have a wite american pit"
> There are no such things as "white american pits", "red nose pits", and "blue nose pits". They are all the same breeds ("american pitbull terrier" (UKC) or "staffordshire bull terrier"(AKC). There is debate on whether the american pitbull terrier and the staffordshire bull terrier should be should be considered the same breed. Some dogs are dual-registered in both AKC and UKC, but this is a questionable practice.). What you are saying is like saying a white poodle and a black poodle are different "types". NO! They are just different colors.

"and she is agressive, but pitbulls make realy good pets"
> You should not be proud of the fact you have an aggressive dog, regardless of breed. You are doing more harm than good for the breed if you are wanting mean/aggressive pitbulls. As a pitbull owner, it is your responsibility to go the extra step to train your dog well and NOT to have an aggressive dog. Pitbulls have a bad rap, and there are 2 types of pitbulls owners: those that are part of the problem and those that are part of the solution.

"Lots of people have misconceptins on this dog"
> Sorry to say, but it sounds like you are one of them, although not the same type of misconceptions you are referring to, there are some things that you said that makes me question your knowledge of these dogs. Please do some more research on the breed.

"they are very loyal to their owners if you treat them right, they will defend you and gaurd your house"
> Dogs by their nature are loyal to their owners. Most any dog will protect it's family if it senses them in danger.

Blue, black or red. The color of the nose on an APBT is just what it is , a nose color. It is moronic to think it has some special meaning or makes the dog superior which is exactly what some "breeders" would have you believe. It is a lie and a marketing tool to separate a fool from his money and people fall for it because they don`t know anything about APBT`s or dogs in general. Breeding for color in APBT`s should never be a consideration as it never has and never will have a bearing on performance. It is as ridiculous as breeding for 100lb PIGbulls that are all show and no go. This is a breed where bigger does not mean better.

The person you got your pit from can not be a realiable breeder. They are only out to make money. Any good breeder will NOT let a puppy go at 3 weeks of age. It would be best to take your pup back to it's mother .
And if you already have a pit that is aggresive why on earth are you wanting or wondering if this pup will be the same? You are just asking for trouble.

Pits are not meant to be human aggressive. Reputable owners/breeders will not tolerate it, let alone encourage, train or breed for it. In fact, "dogmen" (those who fight them) won't either. If a dog can't be handled, it's worthless to them. I'm against dog fighting, but it's true. The only people who desire it are thugs...wanna be bad arses. The breed can be animal aggressive, however. You're going to have trouble...a three week old and both females no less? Many dogs (various breeds) are same sex aggressive. I hope you have them spayed, socialized and trained...and someone experienced on speed dial. In the right hands, you couldn't ask for a better dog. In the wrong hands...a complete mess. Their fate is at stake...if you love the breed, do it right! ( BTW, like mentioned, it's just a color. Blue is a recessive gene...both of her parents either were blue or 'carried' the gene. That's all. You might want to look into alopecia, since she's blue. Here are a couple links: http://www.haynespitbulls.com/files/bluepitbull.html and http://www.upei.ca/~cidd/Diseases/dermatology/colour%20dilution%20alopecia.htm )

Blue nose are just as good as any other. Bully breeds do make great pets IF they are treated and TRAINED properly. They need a knowledgeable handler that knows bully breeds and how to be firm without being aggressive. Any novice really should take their dog for obedience classes so they can be taught how to train their pet. Good luck...
Just noticed the age...that pup should be with her mom till she is 10-12 weeks old. They learn socialization from mom and litter mates and that is very important!

3 week old puppy? Holy crow! He's not even weaned yet! Oh my! Poor puppy!

That said, I have a Blue Nose Pittie - Baby Blue who is the sweetest thing on 4 white paws. He gets along with other dogs quite nicely - rarely curls his lip - and only in self defense. The worst I've ever seen him ever do is jump up and lick the UPS guy's face - while he was standing in his truck. Much to everyone's surprise. Especially the UPS guy.

Indeed I just had to bring my dad's 15 year old border collie to my house - and all Baby Blue wanted to do was play. Oh Boy! A Buddy! Yippee! Play stick? Play chase? Play run? Play catch mice? Play watch the chickens? Play Play Play.

Which is what all dogs - especially pitties - want to do.

I guess I don't think very much of Pit Bull breeders.. They seem to allow people to have puppies far too young.. 3 weeks old is absolutely ridiculous.. No wonder they grow up with out any social skills.. They seem to be taken away from their moms too early.. I don't think anything at all about your breeder other than unethical ...
Why are you looking for the meanest of the breed of pit bulls. To further destroy their reputation??

pitbulls are great dogs, but also powerful dogs. Many people train pitbulls to be agressive and bad, and thats why they are misconcepted. the blue nose will only be mean if you train it to be that way. Its not that the breed is bad its what the dog did is what was bad. are all humans bad? No, but arent some? Yes. so if they ban pitbulls they might aswell ban themselves.

i agree. there are a lot of misconceptions on pitbulls. Like no ones ever been attacked by a lab. I dont own one but my neighbor has 2 and they are very sweet. I think they are awesome dogs. The only bad ones are mistreateed ones and ones from fighting bloodlines.
