I used to have a german shepard named Kara. She is a police dog now, we had to give her away when I was 6.

Well the German Shepherd female I walk is named Annie. If you're looking for a nice, normal name, Annie is fine, but you can find a lot at babynames.com.
Or, you could name your German Shepherd according to its coloring/personality. If she's a silver-back, maybe name her Silver or QuikSilver. If she's mostly black, you can name her Midnight or Ebony. And if she's sassy, you can name her Sassy. :)
