For a few days, yes. I wouldn't keep one there for very long though.

1 tiger barb?
These fish are communal and do better in groups - the larger, the better. They are best kept in groups of 6 or more.

A 1 gallon tank? Does it have a filter? If so then you can keep 1" worth of fish in it! If not, then only as a very temporary holding tank - a few hours, say 6hrs, at most before the fish starts to suffer damage.

You can, but that is a worst case scenario. Tiger Barbs are social fish that require the company of their own species. If it is a quarantine tank and you are treating it, it should be fine. No more than 3 days though. Good luck!
