I have 2 tanks, in one the plants grow beyond the water line and reproduce and spread fast, but when I introduce them to my second tank, my gouramis seem to like eat them till I have nothing left. I have tried this with quite a few different plant species. Other tank mates rely on these plants for thier habitat and protection. I put vegetables in the tank daily however this is not working either...

Hi! I am considering spaying my almost 6 month old chihuahua, but I am nervouse about it. I have heard that the dogs gain alot of weight and can become lazy, is that true? Also, about the surgery what should I expect? is she going to be in pain for a long time? Is she going to have a scar? Please HELP!!! I'm very confused!

Also, my betta's been acting strange. He seems to lay on the leaves of the plant often and not move. The water is really clean and I feed him regularly. And he's only about 8 months old. What's wrong with him?

My dog basicly gets to pick what the cats eat cause she eats the cat food. We live in a very little country town, so she gets to run freely wherever she wants to go. She has never been on a chain in her life. She gets to go inside and outside at her own free will. I even have to wake up in the middle of the night to let her out cause she doesn't like to use her door. She always gets some if not most of my food. She even sleeps with me at night! All my neighbors laugh at how spoiled she is. But isn't that how a dog should live?? (I mean if you have the space) But since she gets so much freedom, she lets us do silly stuff to her... we colored her with food coloring for easter and pile pillows on her while she sleeps and leave her head stickin' out!

I want live grass on the bottom of my fish tank. Do i need a certain type of sand or something or will gravel work? and can i start growing it with fish in the tank already? also would having live grass eliminate the need for a gravel cleaner?

my cat is hand reared, and i brought her up in my bedroom! when she fell pregnant my mum let her have them in a drawer under her wardrobe! she then kept moving them but settled down! she kept puttin them either in my room or in the bath so we have set up a bed in the bath for them and her! she has been crying for 4 days constantly and keeps moving them into my room! it is nbot safe in here as they are now starting to climb and i have bags and suitcases on the floor! i dont knw wat to do she is keeping everyone awake and is goin to hurt them!

I have a miniature dachshund that's just over a year old. She has red bumps and red skin on her chest under her front legs. She's had it for a while and it seems to come and go. What is it? It kind of looks like a rash, but she doesn't seem to be itchy there. Is it something that I need to be concerned about?

I have a big fish tank and I have a medium size goldfish about half of a hand. I also want other fishes but am afraid the Goldfish will eat them, and I dont want to throw the goldfish away. Does anyone know what other fishes that get along with goldfish(orange).

Recently we found that our betta fish ahs dropsy. At first I thought it wass just weird because of the bulging belly but after research I noticed the scales were raised also. I'm very saddened and scared because I HATE seeing fish dies and my body's reaction isn't good. Also, I'd rather the fish to live because we've had it for years and its really close to all of us. Please if you have any information of how I can help the betta. I'd appreciate it. The sad part is we have no idea how long it has been like this because we just noticed it today. Its fins are slightly raised but the belly is extremely swollen. Please any help would be nice, we really do feel like crying.

My husband and I are layed back people. We are looking for small dog, We recently dog sat for a chihuaha. He was perfect. Didn't bark love to hang out with us. He is a lovable dog, house trained, he got a long with friends and family and kids. I know in most cases Chihuaha's are not like that. What other dogs have these charatateristics?

I just discovered that there are plenty of worms living in the substrate, and they are so tiny that they look like dust. Also there are some bigger worms digging between the gravel. What are these worms? How to get rid of them? Are they harmful?

My hermit crab molted after 4 weeks of being buried under the sand. Her body and legs are now extremely bright blue (they were not before) and her claws are dark red (she was always a blue crab). Is this normal? She's a small crab.
