I do. I use a small plastic device called Bags On Board that I clip to the leash, it holds several plastic bags. If my dog poops at any point on the walk, I pick it up and tie a knot in the bag to cut down the smell. I will carry the bag until I find a trash can or until I get home from the walk. It's a hassle, but it's part of being a responsible dog owner. If no one picked up poop, the streets and parks would be disgusting. I don't like stepping in or seeing poop any more than non-dog owners, so I do my part to be a good neighbor!

Yes, absolutely. And I carry around extra bags just in case I run across some knuckle head that doesn't. It embarrasses them when their dog poops and someone comes up and hands them a bag.
I know this is obvious but I wonder if everyone knows the easiest way to pick up the poop. You stick your hand in the bag, grab the poop, and pull the bag inside out around your hand. I know everyone knows how to do that but maybe someone doesn't and so doesn't pick up the poop. Also dog poop does not make fertilizer, only the poop of herbivores.

I always take my dogs to the college campus and walk them around. There are garbage cans everywhere so when they poop I just pick it up and go to a garbage can. If I am out in the country I never pick it up. I live on a farm half the time so there is no need to pick up any kind of poop out there.

I don't take my dogs for walks, I live on a half acre but I do clean up their poop every 3 or 4 days.
I have a thing about handling fresh, wet & warm poop. I would wait til it cooled down a bit them pick it up & yes, carry it to the nearest trash bin. It is the proper thing to do. I don't want to step in someone else's dog's poop, would you?

Of course you have to pick up the poop, its part of owning a dog. I just tie the bag to the leash and then its not a problem. Or if you walk in the park they usually have garbage cans where you can deposit your poop bag. Nothing grosser than seeing unpicked up poop...and if everyone didnt pick up it would get pretty nasty. Luckily my 2 like to go at home and rarely go on a walk they are too busy looking around..at home I just scoop with a cat litter shovel as they are minis and its not too big.

Yes, I pick up their poop when we go on walks and because Dio usually takes a crap at the beginning of our walks, I do wind up carrying it around for half an hour or more.
I have found that people are surprised when they see me cleaning up after my dogs and I have even been thanked for doing it.
One lady told me she has lived in this town for 30 years and she has never seen anyone clean up after their dogs.
As much as I dislike picking up the poop, my dogs are my responsibility and part of that responsibility is cleaning up after them.
Even if it means that I have to carry around a black bag of poo for half an hour.

My dogs have never pooped on a walk so I don't even carry a bag with me, but I think it's rude not to pick it up. Especially if it's in somebody else's yard, my dogs don't go in our front yard and I find it pretty annoying having to pick up poop from someone else's dog.

I don't have a dog...
However, judging by how often I get CRAP ON THE BOTTOM OF MY SHOE I'd say most people do NOT bother to pick up their dog's contribution to mother Earth.
It's terrible. If I am wearing pants then it often seeps up onto the leg of them too. My leather shoes were ruined. My favorite
khakis are history. I have played many a game of football and much too often the case is doo-doo 101.
Now, I am not a big football player, so you can tell how significant this incident is...
"Set... HIKE!!!!"
"Hmph!" "errghhe..." "Ullgh!"
QB throws over the pile of linebackers out to the WR (me).
Connection! I run.
About 20 yards fro getting a touch down, I get tackled to the ground, right shoulder first, then the side of my head.
I get up to find that this time it isn't dirt.
It's something far, far more foul.
I wish people would pick up their dogs deposits more often.

Well I like to think of it this way, most public places will provide garbage cans and bag for picking up a dogs poop. If I was walking and stepped in crap, i fo show would not be happy!

Actually, yes I do. To me it is common courtesy. When I walk in a public place I don't want to step in someone else's dog poop, and of course I don't expect anyone wants to step in my dog's. It is simple dog owner responsibility
