my dog she is a chiwawa/ doxi mix and my friend she has a pure bred something (a small fury dog) and my dog is always hyper it never wants to calm down but my friends dog is always mellow and cool and i want to know if theres something i can calm my dog down with or just tell me if mixed dogs are crazier then pure breds

I want a puppy so bad, but my dad makes it so impossible to get the puppy. For example he says "He can't bark, shed and he has to be cheap." But I don't want a naked little timid dog. I want a fluffy Chihuahua witch cost like 100$ and more! Please help!

I think a new animal rights law should be passed requiring that breeders can only have two litters per year.
Each mom dog
dad dog
and the pups should be registered with each state where the dogs are bred.
The breeder must pay a tax on all dogs & pups in their business.
Once a puppy is sold/bought the new owner then
registers with the animal rights or local government to make sure that the same pups are accounted for.
in other words breeders should not be allowed to just keep making caged and neglected dogs keep having puppies.
this is unhealthy for a dog to live like that.
What do you think?

only enough to keep the breed going?
Every week i swaer i see at least 100 puppy ads?
Why?
There are plenty dogs for people to get as it is.

My uncles cat gave birth because he didn't bother to get her fixed. The babies were scared and alone in the woods for weeks. So we captured 2 of them and took them home. They've been with us for 10 months and we feed and take care of them REALLY good. We love them so much. They seem to get more friendly with us, but they still run when ever we get near them. They just don't hiss at us anymore. Can anyone tell me why there scared, is something wrong?!?!

I have had a maltese/shihtzu mix for about 5 years. She is the best dog in the world. Just tonight she bit my 3 year old daughters face, we had to put bandaids on her nose and cheek. My daughter was teasing her at the time, and the biting was provoked.

My dog has bit two other people before, only drawing blood once before my daughter tonight. She is family, and I am looking for something to do besides put her to sleep.

Any opinions or suggestions would be appriciated. Thank you.

My coworker has a 4 year old Shitzu that she adopted about 4 months ago. In the last month or so it seems like she has tried everything she can to have this poor dog stop scratching. The dog is consistantly scratching, I feel so bad for it. The only thing is she does not have alot of money to pay for medication. Any ideas? Please Help!

After days of waiting for my tank to be ready, I finally got some fish. I got a blue gourami, a rosy glass barb, and a red tailed shark. I have a ten gallon tank, and I don't plan on putting much more in there. I'm aware of the one inch rule, so I'm going to do my best not to crowd my tank. So far, the shark hasn't been aggressive. He hangs out in a plywood lord of the rings looking tree and swims around. So my question is- what are some fish that DO NOT get along with red tailed sharks? I was thinking about getting an African Dwarf Frog, but I'm worried about the shark getting at it. Advice?

We have a male cat that has been having severe itching and the 3 vets have only said its allergies to fleas but frontline, capstar or bathes do not help and he's got a cone on that doesn't keep him from himself. We've got him prednisone shots don't help and skin scapings can't find anyhting & some powder stuff and allergy pills that seemed to help for a few days but stopped. We have 2 other cats that do not have same problem so its not contagious what could be going on? He is also on a bath medicine keto sumthing and its an antiseptic like wash the vet gave us and it did seem to help a lil but now its not so much he is very crazy like when u give him a bath like the water burns him or hurts him in sumway the shampoo he's fine with so its not that its just when he's put into water & yes I understand most cats don't like bathes but its different with him he's a major spoiled baby and he acts like your killin him when we bath him.. I can't stand seeing him suffer ...Please Help Me

going to have a few tetras, and underwater frogs. how long i need to wait? is there a fast way to do it if i already have the fish, i dont want them to die. (i told my husband to fill the tank i got home the next day after work with fish, without a running fishtank)

Right, a bit of a long one! i started a fish tank that is 24 inches by 12 inches width by 15 inches depth. it is a coldwater tank and i cycled it before adding fish for about 4 days, i took the water to be tested and it was perfect so i added two orangas. They have been perfectly happy. the tank also has 3 live plants in it but still plenty of room. i have a light and also a filter running all the time. This week i took the water to be tested again and the ammonia levels are perfect, the nitrites are off the chart and the nitrates arent much better... although not as bad. so we did a 25% water change and added further Aquasafe to the new water. left it a few days and no change so did a further 25% change, added Stress Coat and Stress Zyme and rinsed the filter under the old aquarium water.
3 days later there is still no change. So we have now done a 40% water change, added further stress coat, stress zyme and aqua balance. Any more ideas?
Also should we be turning the light off?

I recently bought advantage for dogs up to 10 pounds, it seems to work well on fleas but he still scratches and I noticed a tiny tick. Which product offers the best results to kill fleas and ticks, also it seems that the lawn outside is infested with ticks and fleas, there is nothing that I can do since it's the city's lawn but is there something that I can apply to house aside from the product on the dog?

I have a dog who is only a puppy and i dont know what she is..... She inbetween a color of brown and blonde, she has a wrinkly face, she has white fur on her toes and some on her chest. Her ears are kinda of like a labradors, maybe a little longer? and i guess thats about it. i wish i could post a pictureof her. any idea of what she is?

Apparently our fish is a dark red mixed with signs of blue, he also has red fins. But a while ago he turned a slight dark orange? And not ony that but by his pectoral fin there's this huge bulb looking thing appearing and it's rough and almost looks like a patch of eggs beneath him. But they're the same color he is now. It's really weird and beginnning to worry. does anyone have any idea what is going on?

My fishs (malawi cichlid) have a unusual disease ! they have not ANY symptom ! and fully normal behaviour ,appetite ,color ,skin ,gill ,fin ,vent….. without any fungus or spots….
But just in somewere that equilateral fins adjoin to body(copula) exist blood color ! but not cause of any fight…
This disease stay in this state maybe for 1month ! May be regarded as a time-bomb ticking away in ALL fishes which lays dormant whilst the fish is not under stress and suddenly die! In about 2hour before die, loose themselves balance and abnormal swimming pattern ,(fully normal symptom and don’t have unusual sign) ,and in under 2hour game is over !!!
I tryed to treatment they , I used 1-tetracycline 2-amoxicillin 3-metronidazole 4-mebendazole 4-formalin and 100% water change! But all fishs die one-after-otherone
Can u help me ?

I just adopted a stray cat this week who was left on my doorstep. However, I did take it to the vet and I found out it is a female. I really need a good name for her. I did start to call her Sugar but the more I call her the more I dont know if I like that name for her. She is all black except around her neck she has brown fur. sort of like a lion thing. She has a very sweet personality. She is so loveable and very friendly. Which made me choose the name Sugar for her. but I am really starting to like the name Gracie for her. Which name would be best for my cat? which name do you think goes best with her personality? if neither of those names go with her, then give me a few names you think would be cute for her?

A while back I got a pair of shark catfish - I was very taken with them, and although they are currently only in a 60 gallon tank, they'll get moved to a bigger tank as they grow.

At least, that was the plan. Then one of them died. I put that down to bad luck - I'm not exactly what you'd call experienced at this, but the other one seemed fine, so I wasn't really concerned. Then a couple of weeks ago, I got two more, making three in total, and in the last week, I've lost two of them.

1 might be bad luck, but even I know that three means there's a serious problem! Even so, the remaining catfish is looking very healthy and acting normal .

Anyway, although the fish shop told me they were freshwater, I've read that they prefer to have some salt in the water as they get older, though these fish are still pretty young, judging by their size.

So, could that be the problem? If not, what could be casuing the deaths? None of the fish showed any sign of having ben attacked...

im paying $40 per 20lb bag right now but im hoping to find it somewhere else cheaper. my dog is going to have to be on it for at least 6 months and we use 2 bags a month so if i can find it anywhere else it would be a great help.
