Mixed dogs are not crazier than pure breds that is for sure. But they tend to be much healthier since they were not bred in puppy mills that use incest or overuse mother dogs. So maybe her dog isn' t as healthy as yours. Plus chihuahuas/daschunds are hyper by nature and if it is still a puppy that is totally normal. Try taking her for a run when she gets all crazy that should tire her out easily. Or if you don't feel to run get a laser pointer (about 10 bucks) and laugh your head off as she chases it all over the house until she is too pooped to pop ! Good luck :)

Some breeds have more energy than others, and within each breed some individuals have more energy than others. This has nothing to do with pure vs. mix breed. If your dog has a lot of energy in the house and you want to change that, you need to exercise your dog more often. For a small breed, a morning walk and evening walk at a brisk pace should satisfy some of you dog's desire for activity. Also, provide mental stimulation such as obedience training and toys that involve solving a puzzle such as the Buster Cube (you can find it at any pet store). Hope this helps!

Are the dogs the same age? That may have something to do with it. Or it could be that their temperaments are different.
I'm sure you know people that are happy all the time & others who sit back & are not in the lime light. Different personalities, this applys to dogs too.

No, it's just personality. Also, if you live in a very active household, with people running around, screaming, etc., then your dog will be more hyper.
If you play with her a lot, and exercise her for 30 a day or so (walks around the block, etc.), she will be less hyper!

The dogs have no idea whether they are a mutt or a purebred. Dogs and dogs, like people, some are hyper and some are calm.

The dogs have no idea if they are mutts or purebreed. The dog probably just has a lot more energy in him,

chihuahuas are sometimes hyper by nature . so dont worry it is the combo of the chi/daschund mix that makes it hyper . good luck .
