Regular grooming. A healthy diet will also help.

Dogs shed. A normal dog will shed all the time. A dog with an undercoat will shed that in the spring time and you need to brush it out to control it. What are you looking for? A giant hair net for dogs?

One way to help is to give them a bath, my dog will start shedding if it has been too long since I last gave her a bath, also, you can try getting a better brand of dog food. They also sell a liquid that you can pour into your dogs food that gives them extra protein and that will help get the shedding under control. Some dogs, just shed all the time.

brush your dog at least once a week...once a day for some long hair dogs
be sure your dog is eating a nutritious and healthy dog chow (that means skip the cheap stuff at the grocery store)
Stress is probably one of the biggest sources of shedding. Try to make your dog as comfortable as possible.
