I'm thinking of introducing some swan mussels into my pond to help clean it up. When the larvae of swan mussels attach themselves to fish, do they cause lasting problems? The websites I've looked at say that the fish develops a cyst, but that the larva drops off when it's the right size - but no-one mentions whether or not this could be a potential problem for the fish. My pond has orfes, goldfish and shibunkins.
I'd really appreciate any personal experience on this please. Many thanks in advance!

its about 3 or 4 days old and i found him(i think) alone
is it normal for it to breathe really fast?

how often do i feed it special formulated milk?

its stomach is big but it only pooped a little?

how do i keep it warm? ive been putting a tiny little blanket on it but i dont think thats enough

I have a 3ft tank it has gravel and plants in it at the momment but i am thinking of revoming the gravel for good, just keeping a bare tank with a pump heater and air stone, And a few bushy plants, I want to keep it bare so it will be easyer to keep clean because it will be slightly overstocked (And would it be ok to do a 10% water change everyday or is this too much, What do you suggest), It wont be a display/show tank it is just for rearing guppies in So would it be ok or do fish need gravel?

I have a compassion for animals. I love them so much. And I get excited when I see one. Everyone tells me that I should be a Vet...but there's a couple problems with that. 1) I STINK AT REMEMBERING MEDICATIONS, TYPES,ETC 2) I'M HORRIBLE WITH NAMEING THE TYPES OF BONES.

So that automatically crosses me off the 'i'm going to be a vet' right? What are some tips and everything if I actually have a chance to be a vet?

i have 4 fish. my telescope eye fish has been chasing my black moor for a few days and it seems to be biting it all the time especially in the tail. my black moor just stays still and doesnt swim much and always runs away from the biting fish. i have a picture of how my blakc moor used to look and how it looks now. my black moor seems to be losing its tail.
