I am a single gal living in an apartment, I work at home. I really would like to adopt a pet, I love both cats and dogs. I have a chance now to adopt an older tea cup maltese, or a kitty, which could you recommend to me?

Sounds like either would work. Have you thought of getting both?

Dogs are great companions, but only get one if you have time to play with it and take it for walks. Cats are prety low maintenence. You could get both dog and a cat but before adopting ask if the dog has ever lived/interacted with cats and if the cat has lived/interacted with dogs. I hope this helps!

i would recommend the kitty because cats don't need allot of room were as a dog does. and cats are very low maintnense! just give them a few toys and they are happy. oh and don't forget food they have to have food and water!

I agree, either or both as long as you can take care of them.

Good luck!
