he has chewed off his nail and it is brown there but not full of puss and not infected. it did get infected is it treatable and could he die?

We found a neutered 2 year old male at a rescue home, he's been returned twice because he bit members of the family for no apparent reason. We have no children or other pets and believe this is the dog for us but am I being naive thinking he won't bite again - do you think there is always a reason for biting?

My dog is scratchin his bottum so much he going bald. He also has sores from the scratching. Iv changed his dog food he is on natural balance-potatoe and duck. Iv also bought moisture shampoo, that wastn working so i bought medicated kinda and that doesnt seem to be working either. If anybody knows anything please help. ;)

i have a 55gal tank with a 55gal filter (the one that hangs on the sides) going on 24/7. in the tank i have 12 small-mid goldfish. do i need an air pump?

but if i dont put in an air pump does my water become dirty or anything bad?
(i dont want the air pump because when the bubble pops on the surface its splashes water on the roof of fishtank and the water left there makes algae.)

i just bought a brand new 75 gallon acrylic fish tank.i up graded from a 10 gallon that is a big up grade 7x larger. the tank is naked i need gravel or sand for my fish tank .can i use real beach sand from the atlantic ocean will this work? better than gravel?the tank is fresh water.how long would it take to do dilute all the salt from the beach sand?10 gallons of real beach sand?i will drive to the beach and get two 5 gallon buckets full of real beach sand.or i was going to buy gravel for my fish tank but how much do i need for my 75 gallon fish tank 48 in long x 18 in deep. i would like to fill the tank with 1 inch thick gravel but how much do i need 30 pounds or more?can i put anything thing elts in the bottom besides grave in my fish tank that would make it look better like mulch or sand any thing?i just want some thing elts besides gravel.i have some plants and a hollow log 12 inch round 2 foot long.any other color than blue would look great to.gravel or sand what is your answer?

Me and My Friend bought his Daughter a Goldren Retriever, When he couldn't take care of the puppy anymore I took her into my care. I know when he got her She had all her papers and shot's. When I got her from him He say's he has lost all AKC papers and shot records, I have started her shot again but wondering is thier a way to get her AKC papers since he lost them. My Beloved Male Betta named "Bambi" because he has spots like a dalmation, seems to have pale vertical stripes on his body. When I first seen them I thought he was very sick and I was going to loose him. It would break my heart if I did, but I know fish don't live very long lives. Could someone PLEASE tell what caused the vertical stripes or where I can find information about it? THANKS SO VERY MUCH!!!!!

He is 2.5 and had almost a month. The first few weeks, he was fine w/my 2.5 yo and 3.5yo as was raised around lil kids. He let them carry him everywhere, and hold him in the mini van on short trips, etc. Recently, he is settled 'in' and is barking at my husband, and stepdaughter and boyfriend when they are in house. That isn't so much an issue as his recent snapping at my youngest. My 3.5yo knows not to 'mess' w/dogs, but she doesn't and we are used to having BIG dogs, which are more gentle. I'm trying to teach my youngest not to taunt, but sometimes she isn't and just wants to rest her cheek on his fur and he'll growl/snarl at her?? wtf??
How do i teach him that she is gonna take presidence over my lap, if need be?
she just wants to cuddle w/him like she did w/our late chi/rat terrier mix...that also slept under covers.

I have 2 dragon gobies, along with silver dollars, in a 55 gallon tank. My dragon gobies are constantly rolling around with each other. Are they fighting or mating? I heard they are not aggressive fish and do not fight among each other.

Any info on these fish would be appreciated! Thank you!

How does deep-fried betta fish taste?

Perhaps breeders should start selling a few hundred for a tasty meal.

And don't give me any BS about animal cruelty because I'm sure that you eat cows/chicken/pigs which are killed feeling extreme pain. I'm vegeterian - although I do eat fish.

Bettas are a fish - meaning they are below the food chain. And they have scales and fins - meaning they are a clean fish that would probably make a good sandwich.

ok my heater is retarted and doesnt tell me the real temp so when my heater for my fish tank is on i dont no how hot or cold it is so can i just get a normal house thermonoter and tape inside my tank to see what temp it is ?

p.s it isnt in any area where the themonoter can be broken
