One of them has got it and loves blended kitten food with kitty milk and has happily eaten a few chunks of kitty food, the other don't seem that interested even though we have given them tasters with a syringe. Any ideas??? Also even if we feed mum and the kittens the same food she just gobbles theirs and leaves hers for later.
Also how soon can we get them litter trained - we have not even seen a kitten poo!!

My little westie caught and killed a bird in the garden. He was picking it up and running around with it then dropped it ands started licking it......he thought it wanted to play with him. When I finally got the bird off him it was dead!! 1: I thought birds were quicker than dogs 2: Does this constitute murder!

I have a doberman puppy, every night it would sleep on bed at my foot. Is it bad to let them sleep in your bed with you?

My bf have four dogs and they all sleep in his queen size bed with him. Whenever I'm at his house, I, my bf, and all of our dogs would sleep in same bed together. He's one who have most well behaved dogs I know of and help me out with my puppy most.

But few people told me it's bad because the dog will end up try to challenge me.

Who should I listen to?

He usually wants to and i let him but its not safe so i dont want him to anymore, were really driving each other crazy, I want to hold him, but hes pissed and hasen't let me hold him for days and wont let me touch him. He usually would leave for 2 days then return and sleep for a day then love me for a day and then leave again. Are cats smart enough to play outside safe? He has toy and i try to play with him but he really loves the out doors. Please help our failing relationship :)

My little cat, called Mini, I found abandonned in the cold, snowy streets of our nearby town. She was approaching each person in turn and appealing to them to save her,but no one took any notice, except me.When I picked her up she weighed nothing. Her eyes were sunken and without any shine atall. She must have been weeks trying to survive alone.
However, now perfectly recuperated and with eyes as big and round as those of an Owl, I have discovered that what I thought was a just a simple little Siamese Cat has become Big Boss over the household! She tells when I have to get up,(but by judging it frothe number of hours I have slept, not according to the hour. Also she seems to have a built-in "Snooze".If I don`t get up immediately then I`m reminded every ten mins.) I`m told when it`s time to make lunch and informed if the telephone is ringing or someone is calling at the door, (I`m partially deaf,) and, of course, I`m told when it`s time to go to bed!
Has anyone a cat like mine?

He recently got me a doberman puppy. He told me to never slap it, do not use crate as a way to punish it, to not use any type of pincher or choke collar, never be aggressive with the dog, etc...

He told me to not treat train them because it'll make them possesive and aggressive over time. He also told me typical dog training course are really bad for dog because most doesn't even know how to train dog properly.

He told me it's better to pet the dog and praise it every time it behave. He told me if it doesn't behave or didn't listen to use firm voice. He told me if I doesn't yell at it and always talk to it in soft voice, the dog will learn to respond to your voice.

Is he correct? He have four dogs and all of them are very well behave. But I've always hear from other people you have to be very firm with your dog and I often see them slap, use choking or pincher collar, put them in crate to punish them, etc...

I had my 2.3gallon tank empty (exept for water) with the filter running for about four days trying to cycle it, first i put some pellets in the tank and i was planning on adding some fish to it in a few days but i have noticed that the water smells funny. Is it natural for a freshwater tank to have a smell? or is it caused by the pellets at the bottom of the tank which are starting to turn white and cloudy? Is it safe to add fish in the water to continue the cycle? what should i do from here?

where I can find an original branding iron to brand my sisters cats. She's got three and sometimes they get out. They hate wearing collars, and look like "general" type cats so we need to be able to distinguish them. Where can I get a small cattle branding iron that I can use on them?

So here is the situation. We just got a kitten, a little over 24 hours ago. About two hours ago, we noticed somethng moving around on him. We could not catch it, so we gave him a bath and found what the problem was, A FLEA! We found another one in a coat that he liked to sleep in but other then that, thats all we found. We have now vacuumed the whole house, and out futon. Whipped down the chairs that he sat in.... and are now washing all the covers, and clothes. We do have another cat, but she didnt like the kitten so she stayed away.... we are still going to give her a bath for the night, and tomorrow we are going to get the medication. Is there any medication anyone recommends? Is there anything else we should do to our house?

Are we freaking out too much... or not enough? Please let us know.......

I've got two pet ferrets, and they got tangled up in some spidertraps (high powered flypaper) and couldn't get loose on their own. After much ado on getting them loose, it occured to me that it would be a great rat trap. Just get a large sheet and put some cheese in the middle.
Anyone tried it?

or is it maybe just a diffrent law between USA and Australia? Because you guys mention all these bizarre ingredients that on a Pedigree Can in Australia just arent there.
Could that be that we get a different one over here?

I can't really think of what to buy. .

I have a pet dog (mixed japanese spitz and poodle), she's been infested with ticks and fleas, and there are also ticks and fleas ALL OVER our house (bed sheets, floor, drawers, sofas, etc), we have another dog that has also been infested but not that much since he's outside and my pet is inside, we have a new dog, siberian husky and i'm afraid he'll get infested too.

So what will i use?

Another question about frontline spray, what if i just sprayed my pet and then she licks her fur, will it be bad?

I just had my cat spayed. The vet said the surgery was fine except that part of the breathing tube was still in my cat's windpipe or esophagus and that the cat would throw it up once her throat was no longer numb. Its been a full day and a half since the spay and my cat has not thrown up the tube. When she purs or breathes deeply you can hear a kind of "growling" noise, that makes it sounds like there is something still in her throat. So basically, I am wondering if it is possible to leave a piece of the breathing tube in the cat's throat after a spay, or if I just misheard the vet and its normal for the cat to sound hoarse after she had a breathing tube? If any one has had this problem with their cat, how long did it take for the cat to vomit the tube up?

I think my dog's pretty clean, and probably doesn't even have worms, but he goes all over my bed, couch, blankets etc. and licks my face and mouth a lot... I dunno I guess I was wondering if he DID have worms, would that be enough for me to catch them too?

Hi i'm michelle and i'm looking at getting a rabbit.now i did a lot of research and stuff. i did own one when i was 4. it died of a disease a few months later tho. well i had some questions. Do you think rabbits are good pets, and how much will the whole set up cost. i plan on saving to 250.00$ what is ur estimate on it though. and where is the best pet shop to get one. i know some say pet shops are bad places but i can't afford a private breeder and i would be rescueing the rabbit anyway. So please help!!!
