but still they fight. Both are bitches. How do we stop them fighting? They are not pure bred - they are cross Spaniel & Fox Terrier. Please help, we are too scared to give attention to them, coz then they fight

They mean business, neck hairs raised, but no blood. I REALLY hope that they decide to stop this. They are getting a lot of love and plenty exercise.

You are going to have to start by putting them on-leash and everytime they start to fight you will have to pop them with a choke chain. Verbal commands work well with this method too because once you get them off-leash they will associate the command with the physical correction. Also, try taking them to a larger area and exercise them. Built-up energy leads to aggressive outbursts. Also, are you sure they are fighting and not just playing rough. If the tail is wagging they are simply playing. If it's back or tucked under they are being defensive or civil. Make sure you are praising them when they are good. It's going to take time and patience and a lot of hard work but there really isn't a quick fix for this type of situation.

Neutering females will not make them not fight other female as it does to male dogs. Females often fight to the death and fight more often than males. I always have a houseful of male dogs w/o fights. You may have to rehome one of them but obed. school for both is a good start then always support the Alpha dog not your fav but the one who is top dog. The Alpha dog gets to go out first, eat first, first pets etc. Giving the Beta dog attention first inflates her ego and makes the Alpha one mad. Even when you neuter males it takes time for the hormones to leave the body so it is never an instant fix, even males can impregnate females in heat for about 3 days post surgery.

its going to take a lot of training just a question do they have much to do with other dogs? that might be something you could try getting them out and about with lots of different dogs so they can learn a bit of pecking order and social skills etc
and this i just cant resist saying to that person who said that a male can impregnate a female post surgery it is totally impossible! they remove both nuts and they remove the entire uterous. yet if the female was in season when she got the surgery she will still attract a male and may accept a mate but cannot fall preg will just have busted stitches! and just finally its spey for females and neutering for males hehe

crate training isn't going to stop fighting.. ENROLL in a basic obedience class with both dogs in the same class.
Terriers are "scrappy" by nature
could you be mistaking rough housing with fighting? my aussies Play very very roughly- to the average person it sounds like fighting - but it is not
you need to give both attention.. try walking them TOGETHER with two leashes ,, you will be surprised how much they like each other when you take them out of their own environment and walk thru town etc.

I would suggest getting in touch witha licensed dog handler for training also ask you vet for any ones names for training. if they haven't been to dog obedience I would suggest that as well
this should have been stopped a lot earlier it has nothing to do with being fixed or not,I have 5 dogs and they all get along together. It's much harder to break a habit then what it would have been to have stopped it in the beginning
good luck.

Dogs get very jealous, and possessive, but you are the Alpha leader,It might be better to show each one affection separately when the other can't see.always feed them apart so they can;t even see each other.Be strong with them,

they'll grow out of it. Unless the fighting gets really intense, where there is bloodshed, just let them. Or remove them to separate rooms or kennels. it's just the way puppies are.
