(From those who remember me asking about if my Chiuahua Mix was able to give birth to my Dachsund mix's puppies..They came out fine! 4 Boys! The last one, a Runt, Came out with the Dachsund markings..with the brown and Black..Thanks for the help!)

My Question is this..

My Four 3 Week old puppies are teething and tend to bite on our fingers..Their teeth are super sharp..what can I buy them to chew on? They are really small pups, Nearly fitting into the palm of your hand..slightly bigger. Thanks!

I read online You can give your Female a Tum for more calcium After giving birth. But then I found some other sites that say no? Which one is true and If I have already given her a Tum wat should I do? I cant contact my Vet at this time of night and he is not in tomorrow so I am searching for other ways untill he gets in.

My 12 week old female Yorkie has been persistantly aggressive with biting and attacking our Miniature Schnauzer as well as us. She acts like it is a form of play, but we do not encourage it at all. Her behavior has been rude. Help?

Has anybody here used this stuff before? My vet swears by it. It is rather expensive, so I wanted to know if it really does help? I feed my dogs Pedigree....do they really need this supplement?

i found a stray dog (sherpherd mix) he is about 1 or 2 he weighs about 55 pounds (very very skinny) but should be around 70. he has been to the vet and tested heartworm positive :( also has all kinds of intestinal worms. he also had some green mucus coming out of his nose but no eye discharge coughing or fever. the vet warned me he may have distemper and is running a test. he is on dewormer and antibiotics for the nasal discharge. he is such a picky eater which is suprising considering he probably ate garbage. i have been feeding him cooked ground beef and chicken breasts because he wont eat wet or dry dog food! he is such a sweet dog and i just want to get him well! has anyone else had a similar experience? any suggestions..

We have 2 very spoiled tiels. They have full run of the house. Only in their cage for about 3 hrs per day and at night for bed. they are allowed to perch on our plates and eat and are always on someones shoulder. there are 6 kids in our family 3 live w/us ages 8 , 10 and 17 and the other 3 are here on the weekends ages 11 and 16. My household is loud at times and busy. However, my kids are very loving with the birds. My 8 yr old is a bit active. We're wanting to add a medium size parrot to our family. We would need one that wants and loves attention. Our birds go everywhere with us! Also, would want one that has the ability to get along with smaller birds with supervision of course. the bird would not be in it's cage often and would be an active part of our family. Noise level isn't a factor nor is the ability to talk, Fun, loving and affectionate are the requirements. Please only medium size parrot suggestions...considering an eclectus??? any other suggestions?

My 17 week old male bichon frise puppy got his last series of shots yesterday and I was all excited to take him for his first walk today. However, for some strange reason, I couldn't get him to move. He seemed to scared to even take a step off of the porch. And when I say he wouldn't move, I MEAN HE WOULDN'T MOVE!! He was just chewing at the leash and I didn't want to pull on it so we just came back inside. Is there something I'm doing wrong??? HELP!!

There are people writing things about dogs that have devoted their lives to understanding dogs Some have written about it. Some have have achieved Advanced Degrees studying dog behavior and all trained and rehabilitated thousands of dogs between them. People like Suzanne Clothier, Dr. Ian Dunbar, Dr. Patricia McConnell, Jean Donaldson, Turid Rugaas, Leslie Nelson, Terry Ryan, Steve White, Karen Pryor, Ray Coppinger, Bobby Anderson, John Rogerson, Brenda Aloff, Pamela Dennison, Roger Abrantes, Nicole Wilde, and more.

Yet, if some former illegal immigrant who happens to be good at handling and scaring the crap out of dogs gets a TV show, everybody believes everything he says, in spite of how many dogs he hasn't helped (they don't show that part of TV) or how many dogs went on to bite their own owners afterwards. (lots of them. I have a client who was a vet in Orange County and met many dogs fixed by Cesar, who had to be put down when he was finished with them)

My son has recently acquired a leopard gecko, which stopped eating. Having checked out a question from this site which gave some very interesting info about calcium sand substrate (I have now changed to paper towel), I took him to the vet, who in the event doesn't think he is impacted, and gave me Lectade for him to keep him hydrated. Vet went into detail with me about the habitat, feeding etc we have provided. Seem to be doing everything right, but he said we needed a UVB light which allows the lizard to process vitamins and minerals. I had thought that because they are nocturnal, this would not be necessary. I have started him on 'Moon Drops' once a week which boost Vit D3. Any thoughts ?

I also thought I would mush up some meal worms and a touch of Nutrobal calcium powder into a 'soup' with the Lectade, which I am giving him with a dropper. Is that a good idea ?!

badly. she head was shaking especially badly. Her legs were very tight and stiff close to her sholders. I put here down to see if she was just cold or afriad and she was kind of falling over. I picked her up and help her and it stopped withen three minutes. Then i put her down to see if she was okay and she was dragging her back legs. I have a vet apt. for tommrow but im just wondering what you think this is. There was no foaming of the mouth, tounge sticking out, or anything like that.

My cat has just had 5 incredibly cute and extremely huge kittens(they were the size of my hand when they were born). She's given birth to many kittens before and she's never had a problem with me touching them, holding them, or looking at them. But just this morning I found one of her babies missing, there are only 4 now. Currently, that kitten is NO WHERE to be seen and I have looked through every single place in my house. What can I do? What's wrong with my cat?
