There's a hawk in our yard it comes everyday and trys to eat our chickens so far it got one i was wondering if i could shoot it i have a hunting license????

No you can't shoot it. Some species of hawks are endangered, but this isn't the reason. All birds of prey are protected by federal (and, in may cases, state) laws: http://www.birdsofprey.blm.gov/nat-res/bop-legal.htm

Contact your local/regional office of your state's game management bureau. They may be able to give you some help.

They are not endangered, but it is illegal to kill any bird of prey. Keep your chickens in a coop, it will protect them from all kinds of wildlife, not to mention dogs.
