you should feed it everyday.

How often do you eat? How often do you need to eat?

While they can go quite a while without food, its not good for them. In the wild turtles eat on a daily basis and so should be fed daily in captivity.

This means you have to be very careful in feeding them. Do not feed them much at all. A baby slider probably only needs a few brine shrimp daily. If the turtle has not ate the food within a half hour, remove it from the tank.

Most people feed them less then once a day in an attempt to keep the water cleaner, but with care they can and should be fed daily

Feed them daily while babies, every other day when about a year old, and every three days when an adult.

A serving is usually the same size as the turtle's head (but not the neck).

It is usually safe to use a good high-quality pellet as the foundation for a good diet, then add other items a couple times a week. You can find more about diet at http://www.austinsturtlepage.com

There arer many commercially made pellet foods designed to feed aquatic turtles. Sera makes one called Raffi-P Tetra also makes turtle pellets (even a baby turtle version) Turtles eat both plants and animal (usually fish) and the pellets are made with both.
I would feed baby turtles 2-3 times a day with bite size pellet pieces (to avoid fowling the water) they are small and hungry and need to grow (like up to a foot in length )
Make sure the water is warm (75 degrees + ) to aid in their digestion . keep them clean with a good filter (its less work for you)

I dont personally know what kinda my turtle is but I get him feeder shrimp every week or so, there small and he can eat them without you having to put pellets in and dirty the water, if i dont have money for shrimp i give him pellets every 2 days or so but i take him out of the water and put him in another bowl to feed him that way the water doesnt get dirty, so really just give him feeder shrimp and he'll eat when he's hungry

you should feed it every day while small, after it gets bigger you can start feeding every other day, etc and when it gets large feed it 2 times a week or so, pay attention to your turtle and you will be able to tell when its hungry

i feed it every 2 days.. but you dont have to feed it for like 2 weeks!!! and they eat anything. so you dont have to feed them for months,, and they'll still be alive.
