wow, I am sorry to hear about this. This happened to my childhood dog and I know how scary it can be. I honestly don't remember what we did for him, maybe they have pills or something for them to take? Im glad to hear you made an appointment rather than just sticking to advice from strangers online. Good luck

yeah, that happened to my friend's dog. She has it on anti-seizure medication (can't remember the name, but I'd recognize it if I saw it.....it's the SAME drug they give people with epilepsy).
Anyway, the dog has done really well for years on that drug. Make sure you mention it to the vet. Also, be watching for things like loss of bowels and stuff when the dog goes into seizures (or for what might have triggered it.....my friend found out that her dog was having seizures when friends would come over and give the dog table scraps!!!).

It sounds like it was either a seizure or poss due to severe pain (broken bone or dislocation (which may have self reduced)). If it was a seizure she can be put on medication, but you should investigate the cause. Strongly recommend going to the vet.

I have a toy poodle as well with the same conditions. We found out however that he only had these seizures after being fed human food. Even the smallest accidental scrap of food can cause these horrible seizures. If you can't recall ever giving your pooch human food, then make sure that she has no access through unconventional means such as open foods in the pantry or a messy floor.

well, i have a beagle who was diagnosed by a vet to have epilepsy. there is no cure of course, but the seizures don't harm him really. but he does the same thing, and after the seizure it takes him a little bit to get all motor control functional again, so I wouldn't be too worried

My cousins dog used to get seizures. They had to give her meds for this it is like epilepsey. She lived for like 10 years with it and the meds worked but it was not easy to deal with. I hope that she will be ok and you will give her a chance at life even if it means having to give her medication. Good luck

Go to the vet, have them check for heart worms, Addison's, and Cushion's disease. The latter two are not often thought of but can cause some very serious problems

TryMay have had a stroke or seizure...if she starts walking again, probably a seizure...unfortunately she may have been abused and suffered head trauma, sometimes medication can control this, sometimes not...Good luck! Try the link below..I've used it before, good site!
