If that was his first time on a leash, then he was afraid of it..you will have to gradually "break" him to a leash...maybe by putting in on him in the house and letting him get used to it being there....then eventually take him out on it....

Have u ever tried him on the leach @ ur house? If not that is y he won't move he is scared of it & he thinks it will hurt him!! Tomorrow put the leach on 4 abt 15 minutes then the next day 30 minutes in the house!! If he is ok then put the leach on & lead him outside slowly this may take a few minutes! If he is ok w/ that they leave ur yard & he should follow. If he doesn't give him little more time!! In a few days he should b fine!!
He has never had a leach on & doesn't know wat it is & that's y he is scared!! He is chewing on it 2 c what it is!! Just take 1 day @ a time & b4 long u will b walking on the leach!!
My pup was 8 weeks when we took her 4 her 1st walk & she yelped the entire 15 minutes that she had it on!! Now @ 6 months she is fine!! She just had 2 get used 2 the leach & collar!!!! Puppies bascally adapt 2 everything pretty quickly!!
Just get her used 2 the leach & u won't have any problems!!
Good Luck!!

I think it's because the leash is putting a little pressure or friction to his vaccinated area and he is in pain. Usually, after vaccination, you will feel a small bump where the vet injected him. You should apply a cold compress on the vaccinated area and let him rest for a few days before giving him a walk.
Sometimes, after vaccination, the dog just feels stressed out. This is another reason why you can't give him a bath for a few days or a week.
Anyway, let him stay at home and he'll be okay.

OK so let's see if I have this right? You have, up to this point only taken him "out" to go to the vet's, right? And now you wonder why he doesn't want to leave the porch?!?!?
Is the vet's the only time you used the leash? If so, it is time to earn some trust! Use the leash to walk him in the house, then the porch, then the yard, etc.
Good luck, let's hope the puppy has a short memory!

He is just a little scared of the leash. Just take it very slow. Baby steps, literally!! Make sure you have treats to reward him with and to help coax him. Have lots of patience and you will be rewarded with lots of love and affection.
Also watch him very carefully and make sure he's not having a reaction from his shots!!

Maybe he is just hurt from pain and needs to rest for a while. He is only a baby so he needs training for how to get off and on the porch show him it might help teach him it might help

If that was the first time you wacked a lead on him and took him outside, Im not surprised by his actions, he was absolutely terrified. He need to be trained to have a lead on and to walk and needs to be socialised.

if he just got shots, he could be sleepy or drowsy which is why he wouldn't move.
