I just bought a little chihuahua for my kids and even though we do the morning, after feeding and night routine of taking him outside, he's still peeing and pooping everywhere. I feel like giving up (but I obviously can't). HELP!!!!!!!!

im hoping to get a dog soon and i was wondering if i could get a little help since im not familar with certain breeds.
it needs to be small to medium size
minimal shedding
playful and loyal- but not overly active
not yappy like a toy dog
most of all- it has to be a snuggly dog
i dont know if all of these can fit into one breed but let me know any suggestions along with any good websites that list specific information on dog breeds and personalities

I have a 3 year old, female Golden Retriever who has a very sweet and laid back disposition. Two months ago I found a Chocolate Lab female puppy that had been dumped in the local park. When I couldn't find the owner I took her to the vet, got a clean bill of health and an opinion that she was 4 months of age. My question is I am not sure the Golden is all that happy about the puppy. They play hard and when she's tired I put the puppy away to give her a break but a couple of times she's gotten the puppy by the throat and growled at her. The puppy yelps, Cheyenne lets go and then the puppy is right back at her and they are wrestling around again. She lays around a lot but I don't know if she's just tired from the puppy activity or depressed because she's no longer the only dog. I had hoped a second dog would be company for her. Any suggestions on how to tell if my golden is unhappy about the situation? If I need to find the puppy a new home I need to do it soon. Thanks!

As it's gone so cold out now, he's really not keen on going outside full stop - let alone to pee! And he's totally got into the habit of going indoors. But I don't particularly want to spend the rest of my days cleaning litter trays out!! Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!

I woke up this morning to find a big pile of catpuke in the living room. in it was a lump of plastic from a toy of some kind he'd apparently eaten then thrown up.

i couldnt find him for a while, when i finally did he was sorta lethargic like he'd been sedated. his eyes are clear and he's acting normal except he's "hiding" and seems more lethargic than normal.

i was going to watch him for a day and see what happens, anyone think of a better solution on how to test if he's ok?

should i be worried about this? anyone with vet skillz would be encouraged to respond.

He is currently 26 inches to his shoulder. I now they can grow to 28 inches to the shoulder. At nine months and 26 inches do you think he will attain the 28 inches. He is currently 100 lbs in weight what do you think he would weigh at two years. I know this is all guess work but IF you have Akita's or have had them you may have a good idea. DID YOUR AKITA attain the full 28 inches (how tall was he at nine months) and so on.......... Thanks!

Say we have a 'cloning shop' that offers: Pet cloning, biotechnology upgrade, reproductive technology (for people who want to select pet's traits) and fertility treatment.

What would your response be to this? Which of the factors mentioned above would help dog breeding and how?

she is so funny that when she goes outside to hav a wee she comes back in and wipes her feet on the rug, and when she has dried food she throws it around the room-barking at it and then she sits on it before eating it hehe

I thought she was chewing on a piece of raw hide, but it turned out to be a packet of the silica gel. She ingested the whole packet. She's 7 months old and a shih tzu.
I'm worried, but I'm broke and dont have the money to fork over a $200 medical bill, if it turns out that she will be fine.

I have read here that people are saying mixed breed dogs are healthier and have better temperments than pure bred dogs. I would like to see some FACTS or STATISTICS on this.

Have you seen any documented studies? What were their results? Where is all this information coming from?

His temperature in his tank is fine, it stays between 77-84 degrees, however drops alot at night because of the climate where i live, so i insulate the tank with bubble wrap at night when i switch off his lamp to help trap the heat. He is 2.5 ft long and i keep him in a 2ft x 1ft x 1 ft tank. I last fed him a large white, followed by a medium 7 days later, and its almost a month since then. He excreted several days after the feed and then again yesterday. He is still very strong and active. He seems very curious and seems to really enjoy being handled. Am I worrying over nothing or is there reason to be concerned about the length of time since he last fed. I've had him 1.5 yrs and he's never rejected his food, so far he has rejected 5 mice over the month. What things should I look out for?
