I woke up this morning to find a big pile of catpuke in the living room. in it was a lump of plastic from a toy of some kind he'd apparently eaten then thrown up.

i couldnt find him for a while, when i finally did he was sorta lethargic like he'd been sedated. his eyes are clear and he's acting normal except he's "hiding" and seems more lethargic than normal.

i was going to watch him for a day and see what happens, anyone think of a better solution on how to test if he's ok?

should i be worried about this? anyone with vet skillz would be encouraged to respond.

Call your VET.....or an emergency animal clinic.

Try to determine what the 'plastic object' is. Tell your vet and/or take it with you to the veterinarian.

I have 40 years of cat ownership to rely upon..(or should I say......several cats have owned me in the past four decades.) Cats 'puke' alot more than most animals or humans......often as a way to rid their bodies of bad food or bones or hair balls. The problem is that the plastic item could have had sharp edges......or might have been contaminated with unusual dirt or food.

Your buddy will probably be okay....(cats often chew on grass....just to cause vomiting..to get rid of things their body says don't belong inside)...but, to be safe.......CALL YOUR VET!

i'm no longer 100 % advantageous in this yet he will be having a foul reaction to the vaccinations. i'd call the vet and enable them understand. he will be flipping out because hes no longer feeling good. if he become given anesthesia cats have strange reactions to that which include hallucinations and they are temperamental. purely element i'm able to allow you to recognize is call the vet, see what the conventional section impacts are for the images they gave. generally they assist you to understand previously you go away.

Well, I am not a veterinarian, but you should take him/her just in case. Why? Because you don't know what was on the thing he/she ate, pesticides, etc. Plus, it could cause other problems, such as getting stuck in crevise of the body ( highly doubt it though).

sounds like you need to take him to vet, there can still be something left in his intestine that could be doing some damage, x-ray would be one way to make sure everything left his body. is he eating and drinking? if not you should go today and not wait until tomorrow.

i believe you should call the 24 hour vet line that you would find in the phone book if after hours, or just call your vet ( but they might advise you to bring him in just to get money...) the 24 hr vet line will tell you what to do! just look under vets in phone book

You must check if he is pooping OK, first of all. and consult a vet, because this can be serious.
