For the last 3months my cat has had a scab on her nose,i just thought she had a fight and it never really healed.Until yesterday when my sister said it might be cancer.Is it common for cats to get cancer and have it show by their noses. I know i should take her to the vet,but shes 9years old and what if the vet says he has to put her down.its my baby i dont want her to die.

I have a kity around 2.5 years old.. she is not a very social cat. Does not liked to patted or held very much. Go to pat and will sit for a few seconds then turn and bite and scratch.. then run away. Standard behaviour. She will not sit with anyone, and if people come over she hides under the bed.. for the whole day! Any thoughts on why or if there is anything I can do to avoid. She is treated like a queen and loved very much.

he's 8wks old,the first couple of days he seemed fine,BUT,he's bit my daughter,& tryed biting myself,5 times,i do handle him alot,he's very skitty,darts around his cage,he seems to hide in the same corner,iv made his cage as interesting as i can,but doesnt seen interested,is there anything i can do,or stop it from doing these things,can you give me advice plz

3 months ago we adpopted a 4 year old terrier cross from the lost dogs home. She is usually a nervy dog and jumps when she hears a loud sound or if you make any sudden movements around her. Tonight my mum was sitting with her on her knee watching TV, she said she was perfectly calm and then all of a sudden she started looking up towards the roof, her eyes really wide a starring, and she started to shake and wipe her paws over her eyes. When we put her on the ground she couldn't walk very well (which makes me think it may not be panic attacks, but something more serious) she started to stagger and wobble. She spent most of the day in my bed which is highly unusual, but we thought this may have just been because I went back to work today after a long period off, and she may have been missing me. After abot 10 minutes she was okay again. Any idea what this may be? Any serious answers appreciated.

i just recently purchased a betta for my dorm room and it's living very happily (it swims around like aquaman, makes bubble nests, stares at me while i'm working, and eats like a little piggy). a few days ago i heard it making a small popping noise over and over again until i went to investigate. as soon as it saw me come over, it stopped popping. is that his way of getting my attention because he's lonely or is he sick or does he want to mate? i have no idea what's causing him to pop =(

My dog is a Cairn Terrier and he is almost 2 yrs old. He was very friendly and playful with other dogs. On Jan 3, 07, he got attacked and wounded by our neighbour's German Sherperd. His body has healed but he fears other dogs now. Whenever we see dogs that are bigger than or equal to his size, he gets very nervous and barks crazily. And also he would pee when he was too scared. I feel so sad because I don't know what I can do to calm him or to stop him. Can anyone give some advices?

I have an older cat (16) that is several states away with a friend. She can no longer watch my cat (Fritzi), so I have to have her shipped by air here. There aren't any alternatives. Fritz is healthy & active. Has anyone had experience shipping cats by air & did it seem difficult for the cat?

my dog got out of our house for approximately 5 min. now he doesn't bite but a neighbor of ours hates pit bulls. anyway, when the neighbor seen our pit out, he took the opportunity to get on his bike (may i add that he NEVER rides a bike) anyway, and had my dog and 2 stray dogs chasing him. well, my husband got our dog back in and the guy told my husband that he was calling the cops. well anyway cops came out and so did the animal control and they took my dog in for quarantine. however, i KNOW for a fact that my dog did not bite this man, it was one of the other 2 dogs if he even got bit at all. is there anything i can legally do. my dog got pickedup wrongfully, andits going to cost around 200.00 to get him out and if we don't they will automatically put him to sleep.

What is the best and fastest way to get rid of fleas?? I have a cat that came to me with fleas and now they are EVERYWHERE. They are leaving bite marks all over the kids and me and we can't stand it for one more second. So, I will also need a safe way to do this. I would really appreciate any help you may have. They really are everywhere, they are stuck in my couches, floor, clothes, etc. Please please please help us!!!!!

I know most pitbulls will not attack someone breaking into your house but when would the common pitbull not trained to attack just a normal loved dog defend its owner.
