Here is the list I use:
Dogs Shouldn't Have:
Onions (in any form)
Added salt (most prepared foods are salted)
Nitrates, which is in most processed meats
Mono-sodium glutamate, which is in SO many of our food items.
Chocolate, or candy of any kind.
Raisins or grapes
Fruit seeds/pits, and most tree nuts are harmful.
Turkey fat/skin can be devastating, causing pancreas disease.
No cooked bones..
No corn or soy (found in most dog foods)
No fresh milk products, at all..
Nothing containing caffeine, such as coffee, cola or tea.
Nothing with excess fat, and ONLY low fat cheese
Easy on the organ meats (liver, etc) and easy on the cabbages and tomatoes.
I do give my dogs a safe 'human' food treat daily.
a spoon or two of plain yogurt is good for puppies, as is low fat cheese, such as mozzarella or string cheese.

The best foods for puppies are Royal Canin brands, but others that are recommended by vets are Iams, Hill's Science Diet, and Eukanuba. Always, always, always, make sure that chicken is the very first ingredient in whatever food you choose. Please make sure that you don't buy any "generic" brands as they can cause problems down the road. And don't forget, don't change a puppies food all at once. You need to gradually change it so that he/she doesn't get gastric upset. At first, use 3/4 of the old food and 1/4 of the new. Then after a couple of days do 1/2 old and 1/2 new and so on and so forth. After a couple of weeks, the puppy should be only eating the new food. Trust me, this will keep you from having to clean up even more messes than you already are. And again, don't be cheap with the food, it's worth the extra money for peace of mind and a healthy buddy. Good luck!!!
PS, if you do choose 'human" food, boiled chicken and cooked rice are very healthy for dogs.

Stick with a high quality all natural puppy food. Even better put your pup on the BARF (bones and raw food) diet. And reduce your number of meals to two. Once in the morning once in the evening. A few snacks in between is ok.

The main foods that are toxic to dogs are grapes, garlic, onion and chocolate so don't give her those. i reccomend giving her Optimum puppy food but when changing you dogs food do it gradually. Eg: 90% old food 10% new, 80% old food 20 % new, etc

you never know what will upset your dog if you're asking about human food. dog's do not crave a variety the way we do. stick with the puppy food only. if you're talking treats, find a low fat biscuit, or chewy treats. just don't give them in excess, just a few a day is plenty.
do not feed your dog human food. do you want to eat dog food? human food is for human's and dog food is for dogs. human food can harm your dog. just don't do it. buy dog treats.

You can give her meat, but no bones, cooked rice and some veg, like carrots and peas mixed in the food. You can't give her sweets of any kind, especially chocolate, raisins or grapes, garlic and onion.

My dog grew up on a few raw chicken wings and a cup of veges for her meals. This was recommended by the breeder from whom we bought her. Its cheap, easy and great for their teeth and diet.
