I live in Western Ausralia and my friends have tons of pets and their family have no respect for them and don't really look after them and I want to report them to some-one but I don't know who.
Please help!

reports of animal cruelty can be made to the RSPCA on:

1300 CRUELTY (1300 278 3589) for country residents within WA

Cruelty Complaint Checklist

To make a cruelty complaint to the RSPCA, you will need to provide the below information:

* Your name and address- For legal reasons the RSPCA cannot accept anonymous complaints, however your details will remain confidential.
* The ‘What, Why, Where, Who, When & How’ of the alleged incident
o What: the type of animal that is involved
o Why: reason for the complaint
o Where: the location of the animal
o Who: the owner of the animal
o When: the time & date of the suspected cruelty
o How: the manner in which you found out & if there are other witnesses

Here in the United Staes we have a Humane Society-do you there in Australia? Or some kind of animal rights organization? If not, do the local police have an animal control department? Those are the only sources I am aware of that could possibly help. Take care.

I live in geraldton in w.a. Try calling your local shire ranger. The number should be under the government section of your local phone book. If they cant help try the R.S.P.C.A in either perth 92099300 or if geraldton is closer 99382137. Depending on where you live the ranger should be able to help if they own too many animals. There are limits to how many animals you can own in a residential area of any town.

In the states,we can call animal control or the humane society & in particaularly harsh situations we can call the police. I imagine thta you could at least call your local police & ask them who enforces animal neglect? laws.
