The vet just treated her last week, she passed a long worm and now 1 week later she has very small live worms in her defication again. Does it take multiple treatments?? Shouldn't they be dead from the first treatment a week ago? They said she got it from a flee, but she has no flees now (that we can see), so why are these worms back, are they new, or just persistent? How do I get rid of them for good? Or at least for good in the now?

OK, first of all, I just called the animal emergency place so I have spoken with a vet, but we decided to wait until tomorrow, because the problem *seems* to have resolved itself - at least for now.

I was sitting watching t.v. when my 9-year old spayed female kitty walked into my view. She seemed to lose control of her back legs and began wobbling. She tried to jump off the table and collapsed. Then when she started walking again, she was wobbly and disoriented. I caught up to her and she had just collapsed. I immediately called for my husband. I told him to take her to animal ER. Now, during all this, she recovered and became completely normal - all within the space of a minute or two. I called animal ER and they asked if there were any poisons she had access to. We have a child-proofed home, so no.

Since then (maybe 10 minutes ago), she has completely gone back to 100% normal. Here's more:

1. We have a male who attacks her time to time. Not much tonight though (more cmng)

as i stated before.. i'm aware! you dont know my history or my financial situtation.. i also stated my education in this matter.. you stated you've been to an animal shelter, good for you, let me pat you on the back! have you been to the million of foster homes for human babies around the world? well we're not talking about people, right? and i am not talking about vet bills, de-formalitites or any other unfortunate things around the world...right? so, DUH! i simply stated i am looking for a breeder.... NOT YOUR OPINION! i am well educated in the "down-falls", "mis-haps" and "unfurtunate circumstances" i am aware of the "facts of life" i have been there w/ breeders, i suppourt breeders.. to a point, i dont agree w/ over breeding or inbreeding, i know what it all intales.
i love animals and i love mine as i love my childeren, i take my kids to the pediatrics and i take my pets to the vet... i pay my bills, whats it to you? like i stated before..im looking for breeders not opinions!

My Hamster died today. She was a great little Hammy...very gentle, very smart for a hammy. I have had four other hamsters in the last 10 years, but never one that felt so much like a family member. Yes, it sounds odd, but the little guy really worked its way in to the family. Now, I think I need to fill the void....I need a new pet..I am not sure I should get another hamster, since Its life span is only 2-3 years. I do not know if I am ready to commit to a dog yet... so Any ideas?

i have a 3 year old male rat terrior that pees in the same area of carpet every night. i take him outside right before we go to bed at about 10:30pm, and at 5:30am, i wake up and find he peed again. every night he does this. i have tried to rub his nose in it and tell him "no!", tapping him in the behind area, i have attempted to take him outside at 2 in the morning, but he just runs back in the house without doing his thing. i am tired of cleaning it! it stains and smells and i can never seem to get it all up! how do i train him and what cleans pet messes out of carpet the best?

Hi I have some baby red ear sliders and was wondering if they could be put in a large tank with other red ear sliders or if they need to be in a small tank with only a little water to start? they seem to be fine right now they can get on the basking log and are getting along great with my other turtles but I am not sure if at this young age they need more readily access to air and basking

She started puking yesterday (Saturday) and it was food. Now she only heaves and gets what looks like spit to come up. She is laying around and I haven't seen her eat. I have only had her for a week, (I rescued her form a puppy mill), I have experience with small dogs and I know they nap alot when they are babies. I am very concerned. I was told she has been wormed 3 times and has had 3 vaccines(what kind, I have no clue).I am going to take her to the vet Monday but I would also like a few opinions from people with similar experiences. I am so worried.

I think they are absolutely adorable but everyone I tell I want a ferret to talks like they are so gross. Any ferret owners? Can they be paper or litter trained? Would my dog or cat get along with them? etc.

thanks!

do younger cockatiels have thinner feathers than older cockatiels (i.e. before their 1st molt)? I read somewhere that a cockatiel in good feather will be almost impossible to get wet. The water beads off. I have 2 cockatiels one is over a year old and it is impossible to get her wet. While my other cockatiel that is only about 4 and half months has very thin feathers and she becomes soaked when given a bath. The older tiels feathers are very thick while the younger tiels feathers aren't as think. when giving scritches you can see her bare neck. is this normal?

she has a big heart and wanted to help out this stray dog that followed her home one day. She took him to a shelter at first, hoping someone would adopt him, but no one did. The shelter called her and said, they were overcrowded and if no one adopted him, that he would be put to sleep in 3 days. 3 days later, still no home for the dog, so my sister, ended up paying fees to get him fixed and shots etc.....and saved his life.....

the only thing is, its just one problem after the next with this dog. The dog is high maintenance and constantly causing more stress for her. For example, the dog, got out one day and ran down the street, she spent hours looking for him, then another time, she noticed him breathing heavy , had to take him to the vet, some other medical problems, its just constantly issues with this dog. that was nice of her to adopt him, so he would have a home, but its kinda backfired on her.... what do you think? what would you do at this point?

I have a 1year old male mini schnauzer and he pees everywhere, I was told by some people that castrating him will reduce that behavior, but I think it´s too drastic.

I bought four ghost shrimp about a month ago, and noticed that one had an odd green lump in his head. I thought nothing of it, and that shrimp seems to have grown the fastest, but now the lump has grown giant. It seems to consist of green eggs, and is INSIDE the body of the shrimp near the head. DOes anyone know what those are, and if they and harmful, what to do about it?

I am just sick... My 5-year-old chocolate lab - a licensed therapy dog and AKC K9 Good Citizen - killed the toy poodle puppy next door (8-weeks old). He got out and went over to their garage where he knows there's cat food he can munch on. When he entered their garage, he came upon their new puppy who had gotten out as well. I think he probably thought it was a rabbit or cat or toy, but regardless I want to do what ever is the most responsible thing. Advise please?

Ok so my bf just laid some dental floss on our coffee table and our dog decided it would make a nice snack. So I'm just wondering what I should look for in case it doesn't pass. I'll keep an eye out for it but I just want to know what kinda things I should look out for if it goes bad. Also I got her to eat some soft food right after with the idea that it might get mixed up with that and pass a little easier. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Ok, I know this is kind of silly, but it snows a lot here in MN. My pug tends to freez up pretty easy in the snow. I put a little jacket on her and that helps a bit. I can't seem to find a good pair of boots for her. Any that I have bought, fall right off. This would be SO helpful since she has bad joints and the snow/ice is really hard on her. Thanks!
