Aghhh not again. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE PUPPY. They are living creatures. They eat. They get sick. They need preventative care. There is nothing free or cheap about owning a dog if you are responsible.
Message: I am aware that they take a bit of money to care for!!!!! You said it yourself... they are living and breathing, therefore they should not have a price, but some people don't think that way. There are some, however, that do! I'm gonna get a free puppy. I'm also going to take good care of it. Instead of answering people's questions in such a rude way, how about not saying anything at all!
FREE?? Suggest that to a breeder producing quality, vet checked, vaccinated puppies. Get a cheap dog and you'll pay more for it in the long run.

Why don't you check out your local animal shelters. There are many dogs in there who are looking for a home instead of a euthanasia shot. There are usually many types of dogs and many ages. If you are looking for a puppy, they usually find homes easily but older dogs have more trouble. You can ask at the shelter for one that is allready housebroken or trained. They usually have some, that will save you so much time in training ect. Don't discount the older dog simply because you did not watch it grow up, they were pups once and by getting them when they are older you are skipping the whole chewing and non-trained phase which cna be extremely difficult time to get through. I have a greyhound who was adopted off the track, she is actually my second and their calm gentle nature has won me over totally. i can't picture myself ever without one. I also rescued a 4-5 year old Chines Crested hairless and he is completely housebroken and trained and just fit right into the household like he was meant to be here all the time. It seems like money may be an issue since you are asking about a free pup so I would say that in the long run puppies are much more expensive then housebroken and trained adults by far. Puppies, as their adult teeth come in and their puppy teeth start falling out will chew ANYTHING to try to help relieve the pain of teething. When I say anything I mean ANYTHING and everything. When I was younger we had a lab pup that chewed a library book to peices, try telling your teacher that your dog ate your library book, they think it is the oldest excuse in the book, she did too till I brought in the slobber covered teethmarked mush that was left of the book in a plastic bag. My sister-in-law had a weimeraner who actually chewed the side of a doorway and she had to have the whole thing replaced. After she had it replaced the dog chewed through a cord to a light and I don't know how it did not electrocute itself. If money is an issue I would definately suggest you do not go with a puppy.

Stop looking for a free dog......
You should be selecting a dog based on its' energy levels etc.
You want to get a dog that has similar energy to you, if you don't the relationship is not going to be a good one.
Start researching dog breeds and start saving your money to buy a good dog from a registered breeder or from your local shelter.

Your question and description are yelling that you are not ready to be responsible for a living, loving dog . Puppies have lots of requirements-including monetary expenses. How about volunteering for the local humane society. This way you can have a daily puppy "fix" as well as learn all about what it takes to be a responsibe pet owner.

Check your local pet stores and pounds. There are always adult dogs that need your companionship too! You can sometimes find full-bloods at the pound. People buy these expensive puppies and then can't take care of them or get annoyed when their not easy to housebreak. My mother found a full-blooded 18 week old yorkie at our local pound and paid $60 for it!

Check out the ASPCA. Even though they charge...they also make sure the animal is spayed or neutered and is also healthy and emotionally/pysically fit to adopt. Too many shelter animals are put to sleep because they aren't adopted.
