Since pitbulls are notorious for food allergies i suggest a NO corn, NO soy, NO beet pulp food.
canidae, solid gold, california natural, wellness and innova are a few GOOD QUALITY all natural foods.

At three months your puppy can only comfortably hold his bladder for 4 hours. No wonder he cries, by the end of the day he hurts!! You need to hire a dog walker or take him to doggy daycare. He shouldn't be crated for that long either no matter how old he is. If you need to be gone that long you should either re-home him to people who have time to give (sorry, I don't mean that to be harsh, but dogs do need a pack, of people or dogs) or block off a section of your home for him to have, the living room, kitchen whatever, somewhere he can roam around a bit. The kitchen is usually a good spot, he has access to food/water, you can put down a bed for him, and if he makes a mess it's pretty easy to clean. Perhaps you could even train him to use the pee pads and they make "litter boxes" for dogs now that you can purchase online. To be honest with you though, if you're having a baby, I'd not keep a pit. They can be great dogs, they are used for therapy with children and the elderly, but they bite hard (320 POUNDS of pressure, the only breeds stronger are rottweilers and german shepherds, but a pit won't usually let go!!). If for any reason the dog was startled or decided to be possessive of a particular toy or bone (it can happen with the best dogs believe me!!) it would be your child that paid the price. Also, of all dog bite fatalities 80% of them were from Pits. They need to be properly trained and if you want to keep your dog, please be sure to get him training from a professional, be sure you have a great dog, before you bring kids into the mix!!!

while pedigree is better than ol roy, i would not reccomend it. feed him a premium puppy food designed for large dogs. this food will be found in a petco or petsmart. while they do sell the pedigree, go over an isle and look at the ingrediants listed. research the food, and slowly switch him to the new food from what you are currantly feeding. small mixture of the new at first then gradually over 2 weeks add more of the new, until it's mostly new and small amount of the old. as for muscular, this is the breed standard. proper vet care, dewormings, heartworm and flea preventative and a neuter, will keep him healthy and regular socialization, training and exercise will help him build the muscles that come naturally for him.

Any good quality food which suits him. YOU have to do the work to make him big & muscular. That means getting out there and exercising him - but only once he's more mature or you'll damage his joints. Don't get him overweight either - don't be confused by "fat" and "fit"

I have a 4yr old pittbull. She loves beneful. Trust me you do not have to do much of anything to help your pittbull get muscular. Just take good care of them and make sure they get plenty of exercise. My girl is huge and evil looking... until she curls up and sleeps with the kitten...

I understand that they are partial to smaller dogs and humans. Eventually they may want to go for an adult human limb, including their owner's. They don't care - to them flesh is flesh. It's all good.
