Take to the vet & have him checked out for a urinary infection. You need to clean the area where he marked with a biological cleaner to get rid of every trace of urine or he'll keep returning there.

This sounds like a territorial problem. Well, it is a problem for you, not your dog. Has someone new come into your life? New pet? New significant other? Spending alot more time away from home? Dogs don't like changes in their home. They will mark your furniture or rug, if you have recently cleaned them. They want their home to smell right...so they mark it. Only thing I might add is that possibly he has some medical problem, but he is young, so that doesn't really fit. I suggest you take a look at your lives together and see if you can find any big changes that have occurred recently. Maybe it might be small to you, but really bothers your dog.

i would take him to the vet. if this has come on all of a sudden, it might be a bladder infection and he needs antibiotics to help. is he neutered? this could also be your problem. take him to your vet and if it's not a medical problem and if he's not neutered, then schedule a time to have him neutered. if he his neutered, and a medical condition is not found, ask your vet for what you can do. i would reccomend crate training him like you would a puppy, usually it doesn't take long to retrain them once they've gotten off course, since they already know what you want. good luck.

If he's two years old and this only started just now it's most likely a bowl disfunction so I'd book a vet appoinment as soon as possible.
Hope this helps!

Either your pet is sick/ill or it is anxious. Take it to the vet in case it has a bladder dysfunction, UTI or bladder infection.
