Could it be nervousness and confusion? What could help to fix the problem?

My dog begs to go out at least 10 times a day. Half the time she won't even do her business. She is 10 yrs. old. When she was younger 2 times was all she asked for but now she is driving me batty. I want her to be comfortable but I think she is associating going out with getting a treat. Should I take her every time she begs or just give her the treat and be done with it.

Yesterday I put my 5 yr old cat Teddy to sleep. He had severe emotional disturbances for the past 3 years (biting, scratching, marking EVERYTHING) and I put up with it because sometimes he could be affectionate. Since Thanksgiving, he's had 2 (supposed) bladder infections in a row (neither antibiotic worked) and he was horribly constipated. He also dropped an entire pound of body weight for no reason (according to his charts from his last checkup). The vet said it might be bladder stones, but it also might be cancer. He was peeing blood yesterday morning all over my bathroom and I just couldn't see putting him through so much surgery and suffering when I knew he had so many mental health issues already. I just feel so guilty. One woman in the lobby even called me the Grinch who stole my cat's christmas. Was what I did really that awful??? I can't stop crying about it.

My puppy is 5 months old and eventualli i want to use a dog back pack on him to provide more resistance during exercise...he is a husky and so need lots of it...I am worried that putting a pack with weights will stunt his growth at this age...what are your opinions should i wait till he is fully grown before i put on teh pack?

She has been diagnosed with enlarged kidneys resulting in kidney failure. She will inevitably die but does anyone know any good remedies for prolonging and improving her quality of life. At present she is at the vets on a drip and I have to call to see what is what in the morning. Sorry to put this on you folks but needed to share it with someone. Can anyone help?

We want to get another dog, but she just gets mad and growls. If the other dog trys to be nice, she just growls. Is there a class or anything I can take her to? She is a jack russel terrier, who is very sweet with everyone else, just not other dogs. Is there anything I could try at home?

There has all ready been a question asked today about designer dogs.

My question is are designer 'breeds' are dogs always a first generation mix (ex: golden/standard)??

Are these 'breeds' always a product of this type of breeding?

Being this is a new fashion statement in the dog world, the only ones I have seen are 1st generation mixes.

Are there second generation litters? The breeding of two doodle dogs??? Hopefully not litter mates or any other type of inbreeding or tight line breeding!!!

Have there been second generations or third generations?

Is generational breeding of designer dogs possible??? If so would this produce the 'desired' with somewhat predictable results or would extreme variations always occur????

How many generations of breeding would produce a standard breed?

Is there a true need for these "breeds"?

Some dog owners at the park were discussing appropriate weaning age for dogs, and I was wondering:

1) Do all dogs NATURALLY wean at the same age? Or do some breeds or dog sizes nurse longer than others?

2) If you wean puppies by removing them from their mothers, what is the reason for it? And is it the same guidelines for all breeds/sizes?

Thanks!

I'm at my wits end. I even tried a collar to get dogs to stop barking. My dog just howls so much. Anytime she hears a siren she goes nuts. At first it was cute. Now it's not cute when I wake up each night to a howling dog!
