Yeah, no dog should be carrying or pulling weight at that age. I train my dogs for draft work, and put a back pack on them starting at 4 months, but it is empty. I start attaching "shafts" to the side of the pack at 7-8 months. so they are just dragging lightweight shafts or empty milk jugs. You can get them used to a lot of training without the use of any weights.

well if your going to use a doggie back pack, make sure that you dont put to much weight on to begin with, and eventually you can put more weight in the bag. huskies are built to pull sled in snowy weather,so alittle weight at a time wont hurt him any. like i said before huskies are biult to pull weight and carry weight on there back.

I would start training him now, just don't put any weight in it at first, just let him get use to the back pack. Start off slow, it might be a good idea to talk to you vet also. Good Luck

You can get him used to the backpack, now. Do not put any weights in it. Maybe put some of his treats in there, for then he knows he's carrying something. Gradually increase the weights, as he grows.

There's no reason why you couldn't get him used to wearing an empty pack on walks now.

I don't think you should get the dog backpack. It could easily hurt him.It might even effect him while he is growing. You can take him on a walk with a leash to.

I'd wait until he is at least 1yr old before doing something like this.
