I juse got 2 pairs of cocaktiels.
One is lutino male and cinnamon female and the other pair is lutino pied male(half yellow/white and half grey) and a pearl female
What colours will i get if i breed the first pair?
what colours will i get if i breed the second pair?

I have a big cage which is divided into 2 parts(there is a mesh which goes right through the middle). If i put them first pair on one side and the second on the other, will it be ok if they can see each other while breeding?

You guys, if you've heard about this then you know what I'm talking about. The news reported an incident where a couple's baby girl's toes were "gnawed" off by either the pet ferret or a 6 month old pit bull puppy. What do you guys think??? Which animal did it or is more likely to do it?

I was considering getting a pet ferret, but this is now very frightening. Are ferrets that dangerous, even to humans?

The report said also, that a vet thinks the puppy tried to nurse, mistaking the baby's toes for nipples. This sounds unlikely to me.

What's you all's opinions?

WARNING, this is GROSS !
I just noticed it 10 minutes ago.....it was coming out her butt. It wasn't all that big...looked more like a maget so, I wiped it away and killed it (with a tissue of course). She is a very clean cat and she did have a few fleas on herself so I would say it is from fleas. Her diet is the same food and she is strictly a indoor cat....because she is a "flame point and has light eyes" she can not be in the sun...but anyways, the over the counter de-wormer should work maybe ???? Everyone has given some ggod advice thus far but needed to add a bit more info...oh yeah, one more thing...she recently had an issue with a "broken heart" after we lost her brother" we got her a new kitty to have as company....should I treat that cat as well ?????

I have a little problem with my 4 month old Pit bull puppy. His brother weighs about 4 lbs more then him. I actually brought him home a month after I got the other one (the one that weights more). I don't know if it was because I started feeding my first puppy with Royal Canin babydog food since he was 6 weeks old, and the second puppy I got was being fed with IAMS puppy food until he was about 2months old. I been feeding him with Royal Canin large breed puppy and baby dog for a month and a half now, but I don't see him getting enough weight like my other puppy does. I don't know if it's genetics, or the type of food he was fed when he was a baby. I need some suggestions on what I should feed him so that he can get stronger and weight more...

the reason I ask, because I own a Rotterman (father rotterweller, mother doberman) and I'm veery satisfied with her. I used to breed Dobermans some years back.

There are many people who say, never hit a dog. OK....here is my thought.....in the dog world, how does the alpha dog say no to the others....with nipping biting, growling, etc. Whats the differance between that, and a thump on the dogs nose for trying to steal a piece of food from your hand, or jumping as a pup, or any other disipline problem you are trying to break them off.....in my mind there is a differance between beating a dog and a thump on the nose.....I am not talking about hitting hard, but just hard enough to get their attention.....just like there is a differance between beating a child and spanking their butt. What are your thoughts? I have wonderful, well behaved dogs, they don't fear people, as many people say will have if you use physical punishment, they don't shy away from hands, as others would say....I have never had any of these problems with any of my dogs.....

My cat has been exibiting some odd behavior... He is a little less than a year old.

About a week ago he starting licking the tile flooring in my house... he had never done this before. I cleaned the spot several times and he is still doing it. His eating has slowed over the past week as well, and now he wont even drink milk unless I basically force feed him by putting milk on his lips and have him lick it off.

He has also started urinating in the bathtub...

All of this in the past week, he has lost a bit of his body weight as well, although he was never a large cat to begin with.

My wife and I are expecting a child soon, and we really can not afford a hefty vet bill, if he is 'too' sick we will honestly just have to give him up unfortunatly.

Any ideas as to what is wrong?

I bought a new budgie from the pet shop today, it is a small baby. When we chosen it and removed from the cage it was in, it had a mate, i think. They we're both together, and looked at each other recently. My bird is very quiet and evasive. I know this may be because it is not tame, but could this possible ahve something to do with loosing it's mate? We are going back to the shop tomorrow to buy the mate as we think it will be better to have the two budgies so the one we have is not alone. What do you think?

Also, how does my budgie know where it's food and water is? I managed to put some seeds on my fingers and the bird had a little nibble at them, so i gathered he was hungry. But I dont think he knows where his food tray is as he hasn't been near it yet. Any ideas.

Thanks

My dog is lab mix with pittbull he is2 1/2. He is very friendly, likes to play but about a month and ahalf ago he bit my sister on the arm, and tried to go for the neck. And recently he is starting to bark and growl to my girlfriend (we moved in togueter a month ago) he has gotten used to her but his behavior seems to be changing. It seems like he chooses who to bark to? Do you think getting him nuddled will work?

My Border Collie barks and is just a looney in the car especially when a car goes by. Even on the short rides.

I am young but I plan to attend a college that has a veterinary school. I was wondering, how many years would I have to go to school to earn a doctorate in this field?

Just wondering if anyone wanted to share.
